Ruggedstep is a black and russet colored tom. His fur is long and shaggy, his coat molted, and hsi eyes a dark yellow. His claws are large for his general body size, and that's saying something; he is a fairly large cat. His tail is long and fluffy, his paws huge. His snout is broad but not flat, his whiskers pure white. His nose is redish-pink, and the insides of his ears are brown.

Ruggedstep is a gruff cat, not caring much what others say about him. He is sharp and to the point, with a forked tounge that cannot lie. He is mostly quiet, though, and he always means well by what he says. Not the brightest cat around, but a true one.

Ruggedstep started out a warrior of Riverclan, raised in a litter of three, and apprenticed by the deputy themself. He was always a loyal cat, some may say a bit too loyal, he was willing to kill for his clan, and he did so. He was banished from the clan for causing the death of many cats ina raid on their camp. He ignited a fierce animosity between his clan and Shadowclan overa border squabble, which led Shadowclan to attack Riverclan. He meant well, but in the end, it all could have been avoided, and the Leader of Riverclan exiled him. He now spends his days prowling around horseplace and the windclan moors, seeking cats he deems worthy to start a clan of his own, one which is run by his own ideals. He hopes to one day call this clan Stoneclan.

Ruggedstep took a bite out of his freshly killed rabbit. The poor scrap of meat had bearly put up a fight, he was very scrawny and old. Was this what Ruggedstep was reduced to? Living off rabbits Windclan wouldn't touch? It was disgusting. He turned his head and looked over the border at his former home, Riverclan. His eyes spilled over with hatred for the disloyal clan, but underneith his hard exterior, he felt a twinge of regret. He still loved Riverclan, nomatter what he ever said. It was the clan he grew up in! He would fight tooth and claw, to the death for that clan, exiled or not.

He gulped down the last of the rabbit and stood, stretching. 'One day,' he thought. 'One day I will have my own clan! A clan I can love more than Riverclan.' But he knew these words were a lie. He could never love anyclan again, not even the clan he was working so hard to create.
