Waiting for a Deputy « Thread Started on Sept 30, 2009, 8:55pm »
Ruggedstep sat patiently by the sparkling waters of the moonpool. The full moon reflected calmly in the crystal liquid; the Clans would all be on the Island for their gathering by now. All the better for him, no pesky medicine cats to get in the way. He scanned the edge of the pool's hallow, waiting for Bonefeather to show up. He had left her with a proposition last time they had met, to become his deputy of Stoneclan. He knew she was unsure about the idea, so he had given her two days to think it over, and tonight was the deadline.
The moon hovered overhead, floating lazily into the center of the sky. Ruggedstep sented the air for Bonefeather, but couldn't find her. "Oh well, maybe she just wasn't ready for this," He said to himself. "It's a pity, she would have been perfect." Standing, he stretched and yawned, giving her a few more moments to show up.

"Wait!" Bonefeather burst through the brambles on the top of the hallow, panting and staring down at Ruggedstep. "Wait, I...I changed my mind!" She shook her fur and smoothed it a bit, then padded over to stand in front of Ruggedstep. She had spent the entire two days debateing with herself weather or not to go with Ruggedstep, and she had finally come to her concluson. "I will join you, I'll become the first deputy of Stoneclan." She said confidently, staring Ruggedstep straight in the eyes. "How can the will of Starclan be that all banished cats live in misery? No, ours will be a clan of refuge, where any cat willing will be accepted." She dipped her head respectivly. "I'm ready to fallow you...Ruggedstar."
