A slender figure emerged from camp. Her dark, sleek fur
ruffled slightly at the chill in the air. Padding silently
onward, Sleekstep felt tired. She'd been training Poppypaw very
hard lately and both needed a break. No training was
planned for today, and all Sleekstep wanted was to have
a day to relax.
Deep in thought, she wasn't aware of the world around
her or where she was heading. Her paws carried her
forward as she receeded into herself. Slowly, but steadily,
the weariness in her paws faded the more she walked.
Creatures sturred around her, and though her whiskers
twitched at the noise, she did not persue.
Calm finally settled in her heart as she reached
her destination. Her paws stopped moving and as
she came out of herself, she noticed she'd walked
to the Riverclan boarder. Suddenly thirsty, she went
to get a drink of watter. Lapping quietly at the cool water,
the she-cat stared at her beatufil reflection and wondered
if she'd ever have kits.
