Plot: The four Clans, ShoreClan, MeadowClan, DesertClan, and TreeClan, are all living their normal lives. They care much for each other. The Clans live on an island of all 30-ft cliff except for a small stretch of beach. They aren't fighting, they are contempt with everything.
But on one fateful night, the Clans gather inside the gathering cave and leaders prepare to sit on the wet boulder, known as the Great Boulder. Now, this may not seem unusual for a Gathering. But another cat, an old StarClan Leader, is sitting up there. She yells out to the Clans of a prophecy. A coming storm.
"All cats hear me out. I, Goldenstar, former leader of an old, sacred Clan, now StarClan warrior, warn you all. A storm draws near. You will see through signs of water how close it becomes. Leave before the final sign, or perish forever, like the Clan of old. First perishes a Clan of sweet, to a lakebed fresh. Then, swamplands take control of tall spirits in bare brown dress. Next, a river made where none stands. Finally, the loss of precious sands. Go yonder to the island of berries and seek new home." And with that, Goldenstar vanished.
What is this sacred Clan of old? Who is this Goldenstar? What are the water signs? And yet, the only two Clans present are MeadowClan and TreeClan. They try to convince the other two Clans of the prophecy, but DesertClan and ShoreClan refuse belief. So as the spoken parts of the prophecy come true, the Clans fall into darkness. Only then do they begin to see the secrets hidden long from them.
What will happen to the Clans? Will ShoreClan and DesertClan finally believe them? What do all the warnings of water mean? What is this coming storm that is so threatening? And, what is this Sacred Clan Of Old? All looks so uncertain, and life suddenly becomes full of secrets. But what really happened long ago, may be revealed...
