Shinypaw was sitting in the soft, green grass. That was quite weird of her, she was always in her playfull mood, ALWAYS. But now, there was something that kept her quiet and calmed. She looked at the rising-sun, admiringly. She sighed and started playing slowly and delicately with the grass.

Long shadows slid down the crests of tawny sand, covering the flight of dusk in black. Fading outlines of the river stood blurred against the blank reds and goldens of the sunset. The sun danced blood-red on the water, a reminder of how the blood of many cats had tainted the water moons before. Clouds trained on the edges of the horizon, promising a damp outlook for the following day. Though, the sun hit the colors just right, and a faint, prism-like glow bathed the clearing. The wind sighed gently through the barren branches, whispering untold secrets along the trees. Dust stirred up around the bank, swirling around a slender-framed feline. She stepped lithely, silently around the rocks and sticks, making her way to the calm edge of the water.
The sweet scent of prey drifted from the woods that bordered the beach. Silversnow took a long, deep, crisp breath, inhaling the cool night air. She could rivet her mind on many businesses. The rusted silver frame of Silversnow settled on the yellowed grass, curled tightly into a ball, tail over nose, eyes fluttering open and closed. Water rushed in the river near to her, and the war far-off sounds of rustling and movement. It was the sound of night. Night had always comforted Silversnow. Night was an energy, night was a mystery. Night was a part of her. Silversnow feared the late hours of night, though. That was the time that Ravenwing and Skystorm were killed. No one would distinguish who or what had killed them. Everybody was afraid to. It wasn't cat nor beast, as far as WindClan could tell. Silversnow shivered at the though of unnatural scores along their flanks, the pure terror in their eyes. A tear dropped to the ground, and then Silversnow shook her head.

Shinypaw still played with the grass, a chill ran throught her spine. Wonder why.. she thought. The sun was heavy in her eyes, She covered them with her tail, but a cloud passed by. Under the shade she layed down and rested. The quiet around calmed her, which never did, but somehting was happening..

The ferns twitched slightly as a silky ivory she-cat stepped on the clearing. With her lean figure, Silversnow gracefully stepped on foward to face the other clans that had arrived. Her high pitched pink muzzle voated when it scented a Windclanner. She stepped on foward to gaze at the apprentice lieing on the floor, cautiously approaching to her.

The cloud went by and Shinypaw sighed. The grass was warm and soft and she soon fell asleep. Not noticing the cat that was approaching her..

Silversnow clasped her head in confusement once she spotted the patch of fur lieing on the ground. The young warrior was sure it was a Windclanner, by its size, she guessed it was an apprentice, but who was it? Besides, the only apprentice she really knew was Brightclaw, formerly Brightpaw. Without noticing the Windclanner was asleep, Silversnow trenched with her clinging paw at the cat's shoulder in the attempt to find out her identity, for curiousity was controling her nerves. "Excuse, who are you?" she meowed.

"WHA!?" Shinypaw exclaimed dizzily. "Who are you? What's wrong with you?" She asked confusedlly. She stood up and shook her head.

"Who are you?" Silversnow retorted back, this time her voice pitching in thread. Sniffing at the apprentice's flank, the ivory warrior gazed cluelessly at her. "You don't have a clear Windclan scent" she growled, with her sapphire blue eyes smoothly twinkling in tenderness. Pinning on the apprentice's ribs softly, she nosed her coat once more. "I'm Silversnow by the way" they beautiful young queen meowed.

Silversnow was still affixing Shinypaw's ribs. "Nice name, Shinypaw." She rolled her eyes thoughtfully, but not distractevly. "Something like, Shinymoon would sound good!" the ivory she-cat purred. "Windclan right?" she demmanded, pinning harder, but not to tough.

Silversnow shook her head. "No its not, you have a slight mixture of Thunderclan" she meowed, then purred awkwardly. The ivory warrior grabbed a leaf, the one she swipped her dinsctictive Windclan scent to it, then brushed it against Shinypaw's coat. "You smell more like Windclan now" Silversnow chuckled, smiling.

Shinypaw smiled. "Thanks, I guess.." She said shily. Changing the subject she said, "How long have you been a warrior?"

"A moon ago" Silversnow replied, sitting down in relunct. "I just had kits and I became a queen for some time, but then, I was assigned an apprentice, and I had to become a warrior again, even thought my kits haven't been made apprentices, yet" the beautiful she-cat explained. "But they soon will. They already have the proper age."
