Shiningstream ears stood erect and her nerves went haywire. Out of instinct, she stepped in front of Thornpaw and glowered at the RiverClan apprentice, though she didn't try too hard to look intimidating. The she-cat was uneasy on her paws and her hiss sounded like she had to dig deep to the bottom of her throat to muster it. Shiningstream only curled her lip with a thought that flashed in her mind. Had Raindrop tricked them? Was a RiverClan patrol hiding in the reeds for a surprise attack?
But then Raindrop swiveled around and confronted the apprentice like she was a naughty kit, caught outside at the wrong time. Insantly Shiningstream relaxed and stepped back in place with Thornpaw. Her tail was flicking and her whiskers were twitching from her frayed wildness. When she spoke, she tried to sound lighthearted despite the fire burning in her golden eyes. "Has RiverClan forgotten the sense of boundries?"

Tigerpaw let her fur lay flat and stopped hissing ((((haha she stopped her hissy-fit = P )))) "I'm sorry Raindrop." She apologized. "I didn't mean to cause any trouble! I was hunting on a rock that hung over the river, then I lost my balance and slipped." Tigerpaw explained. She then turned to Shiningstream and Thornpaw, "I'm sorry for being rude. I thought Raindrop was in danger." Tigerpaw hung her head. This was partly because she was ashamed, but mostly because she was soaked to the bone in cold water. Her legs were shaking from exhaustion, and she was shivering like mad. She collapsed in a wet heap and began licking herself to warm up. Slowly her shivering receded, though she still felt as if she had been swimming for days on end. "So what's going on here?" Questioned Tigerpaw.

((adding to my last post)))
"I'm sorry for swimming onto ThunderClan territory, I really am! I was just so tired, I swam to the closest bank I could find. Please don't punish Raindrop or my Clan for my mistake."

"Don't talk to much, Tigerpaw. You need to warm yourself up or you'll get sick." Raindrop mewed softly. She was embarassed and worried now, both of them had accidentally ended up on foreign soil. She vividly recalled the rock the drenched apprentice spoak of, she herself had fallen quite a bit from its slippery service. Having registered Shiningstream's reaction to the loyal apprentice, Raindrop turned to face her. "I apologize again, for both of us," she said truthfully, "Tigerpaw is a very protective and caring cat and only worried about my safety. We'll leave as soon as she has the strength to swim back." Looking back down at the shivering apprentice, her heart throbbed with pity. Gracefully laying next to Tigerpaw, she began to lick her pelt to warm and sooth her. Raindrop had never had a kit of her own, but she tended to be rather motherly by nature and looked forward to that day.

"Thanks Raindrop." Tigerpaw replied. With the help of Raindrop's gentle, persistant licking, Tigerpaw slowly began to warm up, but she was still quite weak. She felt as if she could sleep for a moon! Tigerpaw knew that her and Raindrop were lucky that only two ThunderClan cats were there, and neither were hungry for battle. She prayed to StarClan that their luck would hold.
OOC: holy poo that was a short post!!! my next one will be longer. haha that has to be one of the shortest posts in the history of... the world!

"You're welcome," the gray warrior replied with a smile, "How are you feeling now?" She noticed Tigerpaw still looked weak, and though she didn't shiver constantly anymore, she still acted cold. Those innocent eyes were dull with sleepiness, and if Raindrop saw correctly, appreciation. For their luck or for her help she wasn't sure, but she did know the two Riverclan members couldn't stay on this side of the river much longer. While their luck had been good so far, she was sure other cats were bound to come round here and find them. And the intuitive young she-cat had a feeling they wouldn't be as forgiving.
ooc:I've written shorter. don't you hate it when you get a writer's block and can't write at all? its such a pain lol

Thornpaw regarded the new cat with a cryptic smile. Well this is certainly turning into a scene, she thought with a half smile. “Hello, I’m Thornpaw.” She mewed nonchalantly, licking her dappled paw and using it to flatten the fur that stuck oddly at the top of her head. So…what now? The four cats were sitting on the bank of Thunderclan territory. The Riverclan cats didn’t seem so concerned, but hey, why should they be? Thornpaw nor her mentor made any move to dismiss the cats. So… yes.
Even the word writer’s block gives me writers block.

"Hello Thornpaw," Tigerpaw replied. "I'm Tigerpaw," She licked her ruffled chest fur, trying to look braver in front of the two ThunderClan cats. She didn't want to show any weakness in front of an enemy Clan. Though these cats didn't really seem like enemies to Tigerpaw. They seemed just like her Clanmates. She couldn't wait to go to her first gathering to see what the other cats were like![/size]

Raindrop smiled at the two apprentices. This is what life in the forest should be. Cats of all clans getting along and being friendly. Battles and fights weren't productive in the way the clans lived, all they did was to weaken and stir restentment from within. But inwardly the knowing she-cat sighed. Wishing that Tigerpaw didn't like the two cats standing nonthreateningly before them, Raindrop knew this newfound firmiliarity would make it hard for Tigerpaw to serve to her full capacity if she ever participated in a battle with Thunderclan. Duty to her clan would urge her to fight, but loyalty to her heart, which now no doubt considered these cats as new friends, would urge her to resist. The young but experienced cat had gone through this many a time herself. "If you're ready, Tigerpaw," Raindrop said quietly, resolutely, "we should really be getting back before..." She didn't finish her sentence, knowing that the other cats would understand.

"Awwww." Complained Tigerpaw naively. She had just begun to feel better and wanted to play with Thornpaw. It would be fun to play with a new apprentice! Then in the back of her mind, she remembered about Clan loyalties and how the cats in her Clan didn't have friends from other Clans. She immediately felt ashamed.

"I know, these guys are very kind, but they'll be missing us back at camp." Raindrop replied, nudging Tigerpaw's shoulder softly with her nose. Turning to face the Thunderclan cats, she said, "Thank you for being so understanding. Thunderclan really isn't as bad as they say." Beginning to back away, she reached the edge of the water and waited for the friendly apprentice, "Come on, we still need to find a nice patch of dung to roll around in before going home." A small, sarcastic smile spread across her face as she looked back over her shoulder at the three cats. Raindrop would remember this day forever and despite anything that may happen, she did hope nothing would lead to these cats becoming enemies.
