Dewpaw stirred and blinked her eyes, the brightness blurring her sight, "Wha-?" She meowed through a yawn and stood up and stretched. She was about to spat something at Darkpaw for waking her that way but she swallowed her comment and gave a small grin, then turned her head away to hide it. "Will we keep going to Thunderclan?" She asked, peering out of the hole to check that the rain had ceased.

"What!?" Dewpaw exclaimed, "Do you say.. mm, that we turn back?" She meowed doubtfully, "but we came all this way for nothing?" She shrieked with indignation.

Darkpaw loved her courage and replied, "Ok, I guess you're right, we did go all this way." Darkpaw leaped out of the tree-hole and started walking through the high grassland or WindClan. "Let's just hope we don't catcha patrol...."

"We'll fight them off if we do!" Dewpaw meowed her tail bristling with anticipation, she leaped after Darkpaw and looked around cautiously. "But why explore Thunderclan alone if we can explore Windclan too?" She meowed with an innocent grin.
"You are not exploring anywhere!" A high pitched voice meowed threateningly. A kit, somewhat bigger than a kit of his age appeared dashing at them from the moorland. "Get away of Windclan territory or I'll report you to Rainstar!" Shrikekit growled narrowing his blue eyes at the two apprentices, showing no fear despise the age and size differences.

Darkpaw sighed. "We are just walking through, we'll leave as soon as we get to ThunderClan border, ok?"

"None of that!" Shrikekit snarled unsheathing his claws and raking the moorland grass with them... he was cut short by an annoying laugh. "What are you laughing at!" The kit growled furiously.
Dewpaw laughed mockingly at the kit, "And what are you going to do to stop us?" She meowed still laughing, "Shouldn't you be in the nursery kit?"
"My name is Shrikekit!" He growled furiously, and leaped towards Dewpaw with his claws ready.

Darkpaw let out a paw before the kit hit Dewpaw, and Shrikekit fell to the ground. "Ok little furball, if we weren't as nice as we are, we would have pretended you were a mouse and ate you for breakfest." Darkpaw stated plainly.

"Thanks Darkpaw." Dewpaw meowed her laughter gone to be replaced with a more serious look. "I think we should go out, before the kit causes more trouble." She whispered.
Shrikekit got up with dignity, but meowed spitting his anger, "I can take on you two! I'll show you how mouse I can be!" He charged towards Darkpaw this time intending to tackle him.

Darkpaw dodged and scooped up Shrikekit by ths scruff so that the kit dangled from his jaws. Darkpaw shrugged and beckoned Dewpaw to follow. They were going to travel with the trouble maker, just incase he does tell.

Shrikekit started to kick and lash around trying to break free from the black apprentice, "Place me down!" He commanded in a growl, "Mom! Mom!" He yowled desperately.
Dewpaw glanced an uneasy gaze at Darkpaw, "With all this scandal and noise he is going to wake the entire Windclan camp!" She meowed worriedly. She quickened her pace.

Shrikekit managed to break free of the apprentice's jaws. He fell hardly to the ground and rolled a bit, but stood up and with an angry glare of his light azure eyes spat. "Yes run get out of the territory before the warriors come and kill you!" He shouted with a smirk to his face.
Dewpaw felt deeply insulted and skidded to a halt turning towards the kit, her pelt bristling angrily. "Repeat that you tiny infuriating lump of ungratefulness!" She shouted, a bitter look in her turquoise eyes.

Darkpaw skidded to a hault too, and turned back to see Dewpaw chewing out the kit. He giggled, only to get a glare from Dewpaw.

"Now let's get this clear, you turn around and gallop off to your territory." Dewpaw meowed anger still in her voice, "And you don't tell anyone because if you do Tigerstar will come and eat you!" She meowed remembering the times when older cats used to scare her with that nursery story.
Shrikekit stared wide-eyed at the apprentice, hesitated and narrowed his eyes with a hateful glare and meowed, "I don't believe in Tigerstar!" but either way he ran towards the camp as fast as his kit stamina let him.
