Enter a Land that Once Belonged to the Wolves
Sure, there are still wolves roaming around today, but this is no longer a place where wolves can call themselves the masters. Long ago, a new type of canine showed up, that which called itself a dog. These dogs claimed to have escaped from a group of beasts called Men, and they were searching for new lands to call their own. There were mixed feelings about these creatures amongst the wolves, sure, but regardless, the dogs settled into their lands. Sadly, they brought diseases with them, kinds that the wolves had never before encountered and therefore had no immunity for. Many wolves died, and the ones that survived often hated the dogs and killed them whenever possible. Later on, more, smaller canines began to claim territory here, ones that wolves had long kept out but no longer had the strength to: coyotes and foxes.
Now, all four species roam here, and then some. A small number of each species have found mates with those that were not their kind, and hybrids have begun to show up. Many of the pure-blooded canines despised these "abominations," and more blood was shed.
By now, there are few of any species. Will they be able to find peace and harmony so that they can coexist, or will bloodshed destroy the canines, once and for all?
