I know it's not a full moon, but for the sake of everything, please pretend that it is. This site hasn't had a gathering in ages, and it is high time that we have one. Consider this a chance to show that you are active (and we'll all get the chance to see whether our leaders actually log on).
Bramblestar looked down over the crest of the hill, watching the moonlight dance across the water. With her Clan behind her, she raced down towards the water's edge, stopping at the log that served as a bridge to the island. She lightly stepped onto the fallen tree, and walked quickly across. Unlike her friends in RiverClan, she did not enjoy being in the water. Stepping off the log, Bramblstar glanced around the island. Scenting the air, she noticed the her Clan was the first to arrive. She padded over to a honeysuckle bush, relishing the smell of the sweet flowers. She sat down, and waited for the other Clans to arrive. "I'd bet my tail that WindClan will be the next to arrive," she meowed to herself.

Velvetpaw was secretly thrilled to be at his first gathering. His Windclan mates ran off to find their friends that resided in other clans, and he looked around eagerly. He recognized one Thunderclan apprentice---he had seen her on a border patrol once. She had scowled at him, but now she was all smiles it seemed. He was glad for the law of the full moon. His black tail flicked as he looked up and saw Bramblestar, the Thunderclan leader. She was beautiful and majestic the way she stood with her chin held high. Velvetpaw's entire body quivered in excitement and he attempted to calm himself by stretching out his neck and giving his fur a few short licks.

Thunderpaw blended in with the rest of the cats, not looking anything special. He followed the rest of them to the gathering area and looked around enthusiastically, this being his first gathering. He shook himself and settled down, wrapping his tail around his front pwas and shrinking down to the ground. He looked about, watching the rest of the clans begin to show up, and he purred a bit.

{I was waiting for someone new to post...but since it doesn't seem like they will...}Velvetpaw stopped his cleaning and glanced up as a pelt sped passed him. The new apprentice smelled strongly of trees. Thunderclan. Well...if there was ever a time to make aqquintences it was now. Velvetpaw rose, padding over slowly to the young tom. "Hey. I'm Velvetpaw of Windclan." After he said it, he realized how stupid a comment it was. Of course the apprentice knew he was from Windclan, he was sure he smelled it all over him just as Velvetpaw had. He sat down, wrapping his black tail around his paws and waiting. [/center]

Thunderpaw purred a bit, "And I'm Thunderpaw of Thunderclan." His tail flicked at the tip as he said the words, watching his leader the whole time.

Velvetpaw nodded, purring in turn at the friendly reception. The full moon worked wonders, he decided. His tail swished behind him, stirring up a very small amount of air as he closed his eyes and tilted his chin up. He smiled, his front fangs poking out over his lips. He flicked his ears as he opened his eyes, smiling wider at Thunderpaw. "It's nice to finally be able to meet another apprentice. I mean of course there are the ones in Windclan but..." They aren't the same, he tacked on mentally. No one in his clan seemed to really like him much that was in his age group. He finished instead with a weak smile and a glance at Bramblestar.

"It just takes a moon or two to make more friends . . ." he responded, knowing what the other apprentice meant. His eyes twinkled with a glint of friendliness as he looked at velvetpaw.

Bramblstar watched the apprentices and smiled, remembering the days when she was their age. She swished her tail in agitation, wondering why the other leaders had not yet arrived. "Were are the?" she meowed softly to herself.

Velvetpaw glanced up when Bramblestar spoke quietly to herself. He glanced around, realizing his own leader had vanished as well. Were they speaking somewhere? His eyes flashed with worry. What would Starclan say if the clans didn't have the meeting? He shuddered at the thought. His tail flew in a high arc as he turned his attention back to Thunderpaw. "The other clans aren't here...what could be wrong?" His voice was genuinly worried as he searched one last time for his clanmates.

Palestar led into the Gathering with her Clan at her heels. It felt like it had been a long time since they had a Gathering, to her at least. Her yellow eyes glanced around, suprised to see that only ThunderClan was there. Normally, Palestar was late.
EH, NOT DONE!!!

Bramblestar jumped to her paws and walked swiftly over to Palestar. Nodding her head to her fellow leader, she meowed a hello. "I'm glad to see you," she meowed, "Do you know where WindClan and RiverClan are? I haven't so much as scented them, and I'm starting to worry." She scented the air once again, yet still smelled no trace of the other two Clans.

Through the ferns, Rainstar appeared. Her silver fur caught the moon light as she walked around the clearing to where the other warriors were seated. She knew she was late, her clan had a slow down along the way to the island. The leader stood in front of Bramblestar her half sister. "Hey, long time no see," she joked to the Thunderclan leader. "How have you been?"
((Sorry guys, been preoccupied with life, you know how that is))

Velvetpaw's ears flicked with relief as the two leaders showed up. But where was Shadowclan? His eyes scanned the clearing briefly before assuring himself that they definetley were not there. He only allowed himself a moment of wonder. He sent a confident smile to Thunderpaw and turned his full attention to the leaders. Would they go on when they were missing one clan? They couldn't. Could they? He sighed and threw himself to the ground, wrapping his tail around his paws and allowing himself relaxation.

Bramblestar raced over to Rainstar, bumping noses. "I'm great! I'm so relieved that you're here. I was beginning to think that you wouldn't come," she meowed hurriedly. "But where is ShadowClan? Have you heard any news from Fernstar?" she asked her half sister in a worried voice. Her tail twitched in agitation. It was getting late, and the sky was growing darker as the evening progressed. In an attempt to calm down, she began to make conversation. "How's the prey running?" she asked, "Is WindClan well?"

Thunderpaw stood up, sniffing the air. Shadowclan definetly was no where near. Maybe they would be quick. He frowned a bit, his tail whisking through the air. He looked at the two leaders talking and scented the air once more, still not sensing Shadowclan.
