Newly Found Sunshine

Swiftcloud padded out of the nursery, her daughter walking beside her and wrapped securely in her tail. Leaving her two sons behind sleeping peacefully, she escorted her daughter into the middle of the camp. She sat down, obviously expecting Autumnkit to do the same which she did immediately. She looked around for a second, wanting her daughter to get to know the rest of the clan since she would soon be an apprentice.

"Darling, I want to introduce you to some of the other cats." Her voice was motherly as she stared down at her daughter with shining blue eyes like sapphires. Autumnkit smiled at her mom, loving to be back in her good graces after her accident with RiverClan cats. Secretly, Autumnkit was thinking about Scorpionkit; the RiverClan kit who had unknowingly stole her heart during their adventure, but she would never disappoint her mother by telling her she was in love with an enemy cat. She was the perfect role-model, and she wanted it that way.

Following her mother's line of sight, Autumnkit looked out at all the cats that were busy doing something or the other. Her wide yellow eyes greedily took in everything she could find. Her first time out of the nursery besides that RiverClan fiasco, she surveyed what would soon be her new place of living once she moved out of the nursery. She couldn't wait to be an apprentice. Unable to keep the smile off her face, Autumnkit beamed at the busy cats as she waited with her mother to meet new friends.

Crystalkit was in her usual corner, curled up with her speckled tail over her nose. A sweet, peaceful dream of a lake, a lake that sparkled as the moon reflected off of it. The landscape began to change as the trees grew and moved while a river formed from the lake down hill. 'Crystalpool...' a choir of voices murmured as Crystalkit woke up.

She looked around her and saw her friend, Autumnkit, walking out of the nursery.
