Bramblestar made her way through the brambles and thorns, stepping carefully so that she wouldn't hurt herself. She was on her way to her first training session with Hallowpaw, and she was very excited. Suddenly, she burst through the thicket and out into the clearing. The spot was perfect for training an apprentice, as it was open while still being protected. She turned around, checking to see that Hallowpaw was following her. ((It's been a really long time since I've trained anybody, so I might screw up. I don't really remember everything, so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong or pm me or whatever. ))

Hallowpaw was a fresh apprentice, and the excitement inside her couldn't even be scratched as she struggled to get through the brambles. The branches were just the right height to swing back and hit her in the face, although she was more annoyed than hurt. She cringed as she took yet another step, but this one brought her out of the brambles and into an empty hollow.
She had heard other apprentices talking about this place, and it was exactly as she pictured it. Seeing Bramblestar watching her, she gave her leader and mentor a smile as her tail flicked in the air behind her. She was sure her brother could feel her excitement all the way in Riverclan, just as he could for her ceremony only yesterday. He had been annoyed, an emotion he had sent her right before he had shut their mental link.
It was odd, really, knowing she was on her way to being a warrior. Very few if any cats knew about her telepathic connection to her brother. If they did, they kept away from her and shunned her. It hurt, but it made her stronger. She knew that Bramblestar knew, but it didn't seem like it was going to affect their relationship in any way. Hallowkit sincerely hoped it wouldn't.
Her black and orange body stood out strongly in the green hollow, and she cast her gaze around appreciatively. She was thrilled to be about to begin, and she wondered what her mentor would teach her first. Her tail flicked again, and she tested to make sure her link with Rainkit, Rainpaw now, was closed. The last thing she needed was for her leader to think she didn't belong here because her siblings were in other clans. Her eyes grew nervous as she turned back to Bramblestar, waiting anxiously. {No problem. }

Hearing the sound of small paws on the soft forest ground, Bramblestar turned to face Hallowpaw. She looked at the young apprentice, noticing how eager she was. She wondered if Hallowpaw was nervous. The fact was, Bramblestar was a little bit nervous herself. It had been a long time since she had trained an apprentice, and she was worried that she would make a mistake. What if she let her apprentice down? Quelling her fears, she took a deep breath. "Before I teach you to hunt or fight, I want you to learn what being a warrior means. In order for you to learn that, you must see more of the forest and become more familiar with the other Clans. The first thing that we will do is patrol ThunderClan's borders."
Bramblestar took a step back, pleased with herself for remembering this bit of wisdom.

Hallowpaw nodded, her ears bouncing on top of her small head. Her half-in-half face was partially covered by shadows that came out of the tree they were near, but she blinked up at her mentor in barely concealed excitement. It was hard for her to stand still and wait, but that was one of the first things she would learn to control. She twitched an ear as she tried to settle down.
Smiling up at her mentor, she waited and let her eyes search the woods for anything that moved and could catch her attention for a few moments.

"I think we'll head towards WindClan territory first," meowed Bramblestar. "You see," she explained" ThunderClan and WindClan are feeling friendly towards each other these days, and I wouldn't want to start your training session with trouble. Besides, WindClan territory is very beautiful. I think you will like it." Bramblestar began to walk out of the thicket of brambles, checking behind her shoulder to see that Hallowpaw was following. "This way," she meowed, smiling and beckoning with her tail.
