Patrols

[Wolfsong]

Cinderflame had been given his position a few days ago and was already getting used to it, "Ok. Anyone who's up, meet me over here."

JadeEyes got up and stretched her legs. SHe padded over to her deputy, who had just called for patrol members. "I'll go," She meowed.

[Shiningstream]

Her heart soring with the thought of Cinderflame as deputy, Scorchpaw dashed forward until she a whisker-length from the deputy's muzzle. "Can I come? Please!" Scorchpaw wanted to be involved with the ongoings of her Clan, to be prepared for the future.

[{Jade]

JadeEyes laughed and answered,"Who is your mentor?"

[Shiningstream]

Scorchpaw scratched her paw over the hard, leaf-bare ground. Her skin went hot at the thought of her mentor, a tingle of pleasure made her hair stand on end. "N-Nettleclaw," she answered.

IC- Khansoul noticed the cats gathering near the deputy. He padded closer and realized the new deputy was arranging the patrols. His yellowish-green eyes narrowed and he had to supress a growl of resentment. He didn't like the fact of being ordered around, but he approached softening his gaze and his voice leveled, "I want to go on a patrol too.." He mewed and looked at Jadeeyes through the corner of his eyes.

JadeEyes noticed the apprentices discomfort,"Oh young one," she meowed sweetly,"there is nothing wrong. You arent in trouble!" She laughed comfortingly and smiled. "You just have to ask NettleClaw first, before you go!" She bent down to Scorchpaw's level,"I would love to take you out on a patrol, but it is not my choice. It is NettleClaw's!"

[Shiningstream]

Scorchpaw looked up gratefully. "Thanks, JadeEyes. He said I could earlier, I think, because he had a bad paw or something and we couldn't train much today." With added Khansoul, Scorchpaw threw herself out of camp, beckoning with her tail. "C'mon!"

[Wolfsong]

"Tell me what nettleclaw says ok." Cinderflame said gently, he was a little relieved that one of his kits wasn't awake yet. "Ok, so myself, Jadeeyes, Khansoul, and Scorchpaw if her mentor says it's alright." Cinderflame also realized something, these two cats right in front of him were the kindest to his kits, "I also want to thank you for being so nice to Bindkit and Hollykit."

JadeEyes said,"it's my pleasure! They will grow up nicely with such wonderful parents," Then she added,"I love playign with them and they love my stories..."

[Shiningstream]

Scorchpaw wasn't perfectly certain if Cinderflame was talking to her. It made her a bit uncomfortable; she had spent all her time playing with his kits, and even tried to teach them ways to manuver around their differences to become warriors. Scorchpaw had hoped in the future she could mentor one, especially Blindkit. However, since JadeEyes had answered, the apprentice kept her head and tail low shamefully, and padded away to ask Nettleclaw if she could join the patrol.

JadeEyes looked to the apprentice. "Won't you answer to the deputy?" She saw the slummed look and said,"She meant both of us young one...... I just answered her." She had a half smile on her face.

[Shiningstream]

Scorchpaw then picked her head and tail up happily. "Really?" Letting her eyes shine a bit, the apprentice trotted over just slightly until she was in earshot of the deputy. "Thank you! I absolutely adore little Blindkit. She already has the potential of an apprentice."

JadeEyes beamed. That made her feel good to see the apprentice happy.
