Hmm, ^^.
What if I said no?
Dust to dust.
Ash to ash.
You say I must.
When I am to brash.
You say I could.
Then I should.
But what if I said no?
Would you die?
Would you learn to use your wings?
Would you fly up so high?
Would you run and run?
Never feeling anymore fun?
What if I said no?
What if I felt this would bode ill?
For more then me?
What if I said no?
Trust I Vow
I trusted fear
Let it win almost everyday
I became the wimp
Afraid of dark until that very day
I saw you in the darkest corner
Eyes filled of hate and all alone
I knew I had to help you the one they called devils spawn
But how? You trusted no one (not after what went wrong)
You were independent (who would care for a scrawny cat?)
I feared I’d fail and with the light
I saw a face so full of compassion and loving
It stunned me that just a friendly touch
Could soothe such sorrow
With loathing so plain
I cried that night for happiness
I had saved you from that dark corner
Though I fear it still
I know I helped a friend indeed
I never wanted to leave you on that road
I know your spirit lives on and though I loved you dearly
I saw that pain so clearly and knew that you were forsaken To a life of pain and sorrow
It rests so deep in my heart that love was not forgotten
You were dead to others but not to me
I saw in you that self loathing I myself could feel
and yet that day I helped you
I never saved a soul
And so with trust, I vow to always keep you near my heart
Trust....I vow.
