Hi, you guys.. I wanna tell you a little about photoshop, to you guys who are new to it...
For starters, let me give you the URL of helpful sites..
www.dreamconcept-gfx.com
www.iz-grafix.co.uk
www.d-zigners.co.nr
^^Look up tutorials on these.. good people, good judges^^
Okay.. I'm going to give you guys another site to help..
www.good-tutorials.com
You can look up basically anything there, ranging from photomanips to abstract signatures
Okay.. now I'm gonna give you a URL that explains basically everything needed in a signature, though you will need to register
www.dreamconcept-gfx.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1841
Another site very good for finding fonts and brushes is..
www.deviantart.com
(Also go to google.com and look up fonts.. lots of sites)
Okay, now I am going to explain how to get fonts / brushes into Photoshop..
Step 1: Download your font / brush.
Step 2: Extract from your file if needed.
Step 3: If it's a brush, just make a new file on desktop and put it in there.. If it is a font, go to Controll Panel
Step 4: If it's a brush, open photoshop and click Brushes on the pallete just below the 'X' in the upper right corner.. If it's a font click Appearance and Themes
Step 5: If it's a brush, go down to Replace Brushes once you clicked on Brushes and then find your brush in your desktop and click okay, you have just got a brush on Photoshop! If it's a font, look where it says 'See also' and click fonts.. It will open a large file
Step 6: (Brushes are done, it's just font now) Drag your font from your desktop into the folder.. Next time you open photoshop, it will be there in your font menu..
**NOTE** You will have to click 'Reset Brushes' to go back to normal brushes.. when you want the brushes to show up again (DO NOT DELETE THAT FOLDER OR YOU'LL HAVE TO REDO IT ALL AGAIN) you simply follow step 4 and 5. The Fonts will stay on your computer, so thats the last of that.
Also, be aware, this works for any type of brush and/or font.
That's it for now you guys.. I hope you guys learned some.. make sure to go through those sites..
Also, I'll update this thread with more directions (tutorials and probally sites too).. keep checking here at least weekly..
Thanks for reading,
Silverpelt
P.S. May StarClan light your path!
