Feeling Down (Rain)

With eyes of green and blue, the pure white cat slinked around the tree she was hiding in. In her old home she had gained trust and friends... but here she was an outsider. Some cats admired her for her courage and wisdom, but none would ever be friends with a blind cat. She sighed deeply and sunk her paws in the muddy earth. SHe can hunt much better than the normal cat, and can fight alright too... but nobody ever had offered to take her on a patrol and whenever she came near, they would all crowd away teasingly. They must not know she can feel the twitch of a rabbits ear almost a mile away and stealthily kill it easily. But today she had realized that none would ever become her friend... and that brought her down... With a final feel in the earth, she padded over to where Rainstar lay. She could feel that heartbeat and breath that owned up to Rainstar. "Rainstar," she asked, "Am I even able to go on patrols?"

[[Rain]]

Rainstar looked up. She was shocked that Moondance one of her best hunters eventho she was blind asked her a question like that. "Ofcorse you can go on a patrol. If they are being unfair and not letting you come then come to me and I will tell you can go. Your one of the Clan and you are not going to be left out."

[Thornpaw]

Hs fiery red pelt shone with utter brilliance against the summer sky. Hawkpaw let the warmth of the summer heat soak through his body, drenching every inch of his being. How he loved the summer, though reminders of his battle with the hawk frequently appeared around this time. He azed down at the scar that carve a ragged gouge up his chest in an odd admiration. The fight had been long ago but her could still feel the raptors talons sliceing like ice blades. He shook himself and stood, giving his scar a quick like. He wore his name proudly, for he had certainly earned it The hawk had left a lasting mark on Hawkpaws soul. But no time for that, he had just heard an opportunity and was not about to miss it, especially one that might just take him strolling the borders of Riverclan again… “Afternoon Rainstar, Moondance.” He bowed his head to the she-cats as he aproached. “ I couldn’t help but over hear.” His eyes danced, “and I was wondering if I could accompany Moondance on her patrol.” He flexed his claws, He needed to burn of his extra energy and his stomach burned for a chance to slip away to Riverclan foe a while. His amber eyes flicked from Rainstar to Moondace, whom he knew could not see him, but whom he admired in more ways than one.

Moondance looked to Rainstar and said, "I would love to take Hawkpaw out on a patrol. A small smile showed on her wise face and she stared where Rainstar was sitting. "With your permission of course, ' she added.

[Thornpaw]

Hawkpaws eyes sparkled excitedly. Even to catch a glimpse of Riverclan would satisfy him until the day he became a warrior. He remembered it all to well. He looked up as Rainstar hopefully.

[Wolfsong]

Raykit suddenly leaped out of the brambles of the nursery, saw Moondance and bounded over to her, not realizing that Rainstar was right beside her. Meowing excitedly and a little loud the bright ginger kit said, "Can you teach me those hunting moves now? Will you be my mentor when I become an apprentice? I'm almost ready to become an apprentice but mother says I still need to wait half a moon. I also can't find any of my brothers or sisters to come and play...not that I would want to play with any of them. Mother also got b-" Raykit stopped as he realized that not only had he almost said that Brightleaf was getting abused, but he had finally noticed Rainstar. His ears went flat with embarrassment, "I'm sorry Rainstar."

[[Rain]]

Rainstar let a purr of amusment. "Hawkpaw you may join Moondance on her patrol." She turned to the kit and smiled. "It is okay, Raykit. I was just as exsided as you when I was a kit." The Windclan leader said.
