Breezefeather blinked her dazed, olive eyes as she awoke.The she-cat glanced only once around, for she knew where she was.Yawning, Breezefeather stretched her limbs.Yet another day was galloping around her, the sun bright outside.She padded out of the Warrior's den and out into the clearing.It was silent and welcoming as the sun shone brightly over her head.It made her colorful, splotted pelt gleam as if it was newly cleaned.Breezefeather walked out further and sat on a comfortable spot, basking in the warm rays.

Dewpaw actively pounced on the leaves, she batted some with her tail while they fell to the ground. A small streak of gray dashed by, the mottled apprentice instinctively started to chase it, she ran after it but lost grip of the ground and slipped crashing into someone. Dazzled she stumbled up, "Sorry!" She meowed loudly, and then making out the image she meowed, "Oh, Hi Breezefeather!" She looked around and cursed under her breath, "Mouse-dung! I lost the mouse."

Breezefeather had the instinct to blush shyly but instead Dewpaw had made her smile.The she-cat chuckled softly then curled her tail around herself and licked down her ruffled fur. "At least you found him." Breezefeather mewed softly, her olive eyes still chuckling some.Dewpaw was a nice apprentice to chat with most of the time.The warrior yawned once again and smiled. "I just woke up.Hoe long have you been scurrying around?" Breezefeather gave Dewpaw a friendly smile.

"Sleepy as a badger?" Dewpaw mocked playfully, "I a bit after sunrise." She meowed flicking her tail dismissively. "The earlier the funnest! The birds appear at morning, and it is fun to chase them." She smirked and took a crouching position, and leaped as if imagining that she was swatting at a bird.

Breezefeather nodded. "Yes but it is also foggy and too cool for me." The she-cat flicked a pebble with her paw at Dewpaw in a small game of roll the stone while talking. "I prefer right when the sun rises up and the ground warms.That's whenit's the most enjoyable for me.Besides, the fish wake up when the insects wake up."

"But there is more prey than just fish." Dewpaw retorted, narrowing her turquoise eyes at the pebble and pawing at it. "I don't really like fish.." She meowed, "Well I guess its ok, but I prefer a good plump vole, besides I like the fog in the morning." She meowed giving a wide grin and passing the pebble to Breezefeather's paw.

Breezefeather rolled the stone between herpaws then passed it back to Dewpaw. "Yes.I do like rabbit better than fish.At least with a rabbit you don't have to mess with all those scales." The she-cat flipped her tail to her other side and curled it around her, her pelt warming now. "But then again, getting up later means you get to rest your mind more.Therefor giving you a better ability to concentrate.And to doze some extra also." Breezefeather mewed, her muzzle forming a smile.

The ferns twitched slightly as a sleek and lean ivory feline rised from them, her coat gleaming with the sunlight and soaked as always. Winterleaf padded foward, feelling her pelt drying slowly, becoming warmer everytime. She relunctantly sat down to groom her fluffy fur, when she noticed other Riverclanners near her. Her gaze glanced at both of the she-cats and she recognized them as Breezefeather and Dewpaw. "Well, hello" the tuxedo warrior meowed kindly, approaching towards them with a smile.

"Eww!" Dewpaw exclaimed wrinkling her nose as Breezefeather commented about the fish. She giggled and meowed, "But I am just an apprentice I don't need to clear up my head, having fun is better!" She meowed with a laughing voice. She noticed the young warrior and greeted with a cheery voice. "Oh hello Winterleaf! Want to join?" She meowed quickly passing the pebble to her paws.

"Why not?" Winterleaf grunted, lavishing her coat to make water fall from it. When she finally felt it was dry, she smiled eagerly at Dewpaw and Breezefeather. She marched to them with her tabby tail up high and her nose perked. "So what'cha doing?" the young warrior asked, lashing her tail in excitement. "It must be better than being soaked up and dewed completely from paws to ears by the water of the river, but I guess that's what happens to you when you stay all night in the swimming..."

"Oh I see.." Dewpaw meowed loudly before even letting anyone else speak. She hurried and caught the stone on her paws, passing it again to Breezefeather. "But why would you stay swimming that much?" She meowed to Winterleaf with a suspicious tone.

"I like to swim" the mottled she-cat answered simply. Winterleaf launched harshly on her haunches as she sat down. She dashed to prick her ivory ear. "So what are you doing?" she asked again at Dewpaw.

Breezefeather smiled at Dewpaw and greeted Winterleaf with a friendly nod. "We're tossing a pebble around and talking.Not much, if I think so.How about you?What do you plan to do today?" The she-cat meowed, her olive eyes moving from the apprentice to Winterleaf and waited her reply.

Winterleaf shook her head laggardly. "Nah, perhaps a small hunting patrol or somethin'." she replied, grabbing the rock with her jaws and throwing it to Dewpaw. "Perhaps I'll see an apprentice train" she meowed doubtfully, half to herself. She flicked her tail again as her emerald eyes shifted from place to another. "Have you planned to do something? Appart from tossing the rock of course" the young warrior asked.

"I was thinking of patroling the borders myself." Breezefeather mewed, her eyes watching the rock without interest. "You get into more fun when you go without saying much ." The warrior let her tail rest peacfully on the ground behind her, her shoulders slumping fromtiredness of being in the same position.
