White fur appeared in Bramblestar's entryway just a second before sparkling blue eyes revealed themselves. "Bramblestar?" Swiftcloud called out softly. Her tail twitched nervously. She had never personally spoken to Thunderclan's leader, but she knew she had no reason to be afraid. "Do you think we could talk for a second?" She sat, he lean tail wrapping itself around her paws.

"Of course," meowed Bramblestar from the back of her den. "Please come in." She rose, greeting her visitor more cordially.

Swiftcloud let out a breath she didn't realize she had been holding and was immedietly put at ease as she padded in slowly, breathing in the scents of her leader's life. She stopped and sat, facing Bramblestar. "Leafkit is going to be an apprentice soon, and she expressed an intrest in me being her mentor. Would that be possible?" She asked, wondering if she should be bothering her leader with such trivial matters.

"I'll certainly take that into consideration," meowed Bramblestar with a bit of a purr. "It's always good to have an apprentice who looks up to their mentor, especially one who cares enough to request a mentor." She paused, brushing her paw over her ear to clean it.

"Thanks." Swiftcloud decided to keep a conversation going. "Shes so excited," she meowed happily. "But she does get herself into an awful lot of trouble..."

"I know quite a few great warriors who were troublemakers as kits," mewed Bramblestar, a sly smile on her lips. "Even the great Firestar ran away from his first home. I see a lot of potential in Leafkit."

Swiftcloud nodded. "True." She rose to her paws. "I guess you'll be wanting your time alone again. Thanks for taking time out of your day to talk to me." She bowed her head respectfully.

"It's alright," replied Bramblestar. "The truth is, I've been rather lonely lately. ThunderClan is so...quiet now these days. I miss the old times." Bramblestar curled her tail around herself, embarrassed at showing her weakness.
