Tigerclaw sat watching the kits in the nursery from the warrior's den. They got into too much trouble, or so he had always thought. Something needed to be done. He began to think, but a noise from behind him disturbed his mind.

Suddenly with a flash a frustrated apprentice exploded out of the bushes, a mouse before her feet. She desperately ran to catch it, her eyes a fire filled with exhilaration. Suddenly the mouse veered left and shot under a crack in a tree root. Thornpaw yowled in disappoint, and thrust her paw into the hole, reaching vainly for what wasn’t there. She gave an annoyed hiss and gave up. she saw a figure in the corner of her eye, she gave a startled mew and shot straight into the air, and came down with a crash. She whirled to face the cat, and eyed him with curiosity. "Who?....umm.....errrr......do I know you?"

Of course you stupid apprentice! Tigerclaw thought. "Yes, you should. I'm a warrior, you know."

Thornpaw watched the young kit race off in fear and almost laughed. She turned her attention back to Tigerclaw and answered, “Because I smelled a mouse, and how could I pass up an opportunity to hunt for my clan?” She smiled mischievously. She sat for a moment and gave her paw a quick lick. She eyed Tigerclaw again with curiosity. “Would you like to go hunting?” She asked inquisitively, her eyes dancing. She shot a glance at the fresh kill pile, realizing it was fairly well stocked, but it was something to do. She turned back to Tigerclaw awaiting his answer.

"I suppose if I don't I'll be annoyed by your squeak of a voice," he replied. "Fine, let's go."
OCC: being tigerclaw is hard!

Ooc: Putting up with him is even harded! XD just kidding haha
Thornpaw brushed aside the attempted insult and smirked rebelliously. Her eyes were burning playfully as she trotted across the clearing, leading the way into the woods. Her nose was bombarded with the rich smells of the forest around them. She set her nose to the ground and took in a deep breath, letting the scents full her lungs and lazily out again. She looked back at Tigerclaw and couldn’t help but grin. “I think I smell something.”

"Atleast one cat in our Clan doesn't have to act like a kittypet all the time," he spat back. "What is it?"

Normally Thornpaw would take offense to such remarks, but she paid no heed. She was not in the mood to get into it with this cat, especially and experienced warrior. So she just shot him a look and turned her thoughts back to the scent. She let her mouth open a crack, and breathed in the scent once more. “Its defiantly a mouse, maybe two.” She concluded with a nod. “It wasn’t to long ago their were here, so my guess is if we continue down this trail, we are sure to run into them.” A smile cracked across her mouth at the thought of fresh kill.

"That smirk will surely alert them if you keep it up," Tigerclaw snapped. "Come on then. They will not be waiting for us, you know."

Thornpaw could not help an admiring smile. He may not have the nicest attitude, but he was an outstanding warrior and one to be respected. But under those hard eyes there is sure to be a twinge of good. She was determined to get through to him. She chuckled to herself and set off down the trail after Tigerclaw.

Tigerclaw paused a little ways from the little stream in ThunderClan territory and sniffed the air. No scent of prey. He waited for Thornpaw to catch up.

OOC: Hope you don't mind I join along.
Despite the nice day, there was nothing that Shiningstream could do in the confinements of the camp, so well as she believed it was a good day to nosy around the bushes. The last warrior she had taken notice to was Thistleclaw and Rainwhisker, but they were already busy with their apprentices. With that in mind, Shiningstream thought that maybe a little lesson for Thornpaw could work. She did have to learn battle training after all. Stepping away from the gorse, the tortoiseshell was a bit surprised by the appearence of Tigerclaw, as well as Thornpaw just dashing away. "Hello," she mewed to the tabby warrior. "Where had Thornpaw gone off to?"

“I’m here!” Thornpaw mewed brightly as she emerged from the undergrowth. Her tail twitched happily at the arrival of Shinningstream. “We decided to go hunting,” She meowed teasingly. “But grumpy over here deserted me and I had to smell my way back.” She shot a humorous glance at Tigerclaw. “And trust me, its hard to miss!” She laughed at her own comment then fell silent but her eyes still held a mischievous glow.
