Leafkit took a deep breath and swallowed it. "Will you be my mentor?" she mewed very softly, in a very un-Leafkit way. Leafkit's eyes were sparkling with anticipation. |

Swiftcloud's eyes widened in surprise. "If you really want me to be, you can ask Bramblestar. I'd be glad to be your mentor," she meowed. She gave Leafkit a lick over her ear. "Now we should probably get back to camp before someone in the nursery notices you're gone and causes a panic." She stood from her recent sitting position and walked a few steps, turning her head over her shoulder and waiting for Leafkit to follow.
