A young warrior walked around with unnecessary stealth. He looked around attentively with his dark blue eyes, remembering the fresh memories of his training as an apprentice. He was recently made a warrior and he was proud of it. He was so concentrated in his thoughts that he didn't hear someone or something approaching.

Amber orbs watched the warrior intently. Her auburn tail lashed back and forth, and she took a step forward on silent paws. A shadow emerged in the bracken and with a slight laugh sprang at the tom Barreling him in the chest causing him to lose balance. Thornpaw was soon on top him holding him down, beaming a cheery grin . The ebon apprentice laughed and Eyed the white cat with mysterious affection. “For a Warrior you sure have poor reflexes!” She mocked Stormfrost with a roguish smile. “Or is it just bad hearing?” She flashed a charismatic grin before licking him tenderly in the ear and releasing him. She spun on light paws, her fiery eyes blazed with laughter. “Hmm, maybe Bramblestar should have considered a few more moons of apprentice training before unleashing you into the forest.” She mewed, her voice dripping sarcasm. She lay down beside him, belly facing toward the sky. She flicked her tail lightly across his frosty pelt, enjoying the time spent with the handsome tom.

The young warrior's pelt bristled in embarrassment, and he felt his cheeks burning under his fur. He got up quickly trying to regain his composure and looked at the cheery apprentice with ashamed deep blue eyes. "Do you really think I am a bad warrior?" He meowed swallowing his shame. He was generally timid, especially in front of she-cats, but he felt strangely uncomfortable when he was around this active, daring and charming apprentice. He took his gaze of her and looked down at his paws evasively.

Thornpaw sat and eyed him for a moment, as though trying to find the answer in his eyes. Though She couldn’t help noticing their surroundings. They sat in a small clearing dappled with sun grasping through the untwined branches above. She promptly stood and gave him a playful lick on the ear. Then walked a few paces and disappeared into the surrounding forest, her speckled pelt melting into the backdrop of the forest. But with a rustle of leaves her dappled head reappeared from the bracken with a mischievous grin on her face. “We going to go hunting or what?” She called from within the tangle of bracken. She winked and turned, flicking her tail in his direction, then sneaking a spirited peek behind her shoulder to make sure he was coming.

Stormfrost gave a timid smile, and blushed under his fur as he felt the apprentice's tongue rasping his ear with playfulness and a mixt of affection. He nodded quietly and stood up going after her in a stealthy pace, he noticed her glancing at him and gazed into her eyes, but couldn't hold it and looked away.

Thornpaw trotted next to Stormfrost with a rebellious smile set firm on her lips. The forest was peaceful, with the occasional call of a bird brush of the breeze. She wove through the trees catching the light shinning through the trees, casting shadows on the ground below. She stole another glance at Stormfrost. Her eyes danced and attempted to look dignified in front of him. Though her attempt failed as a root caught her foot sending her to tumble to the ground. She got up even faster then she fell, trying to pull of that she didn’t just fall on her face. But an infections smiled laced her features, she could not control the inevitable. She burst into glorious laughter, shaking the leaves from her coat. “Smooth huh?” She said with a grin. She held he tail high and laughed, “The root just couldn’t resist me.” She smiled good naturedly.

Stormfrost couldn't resist the apprentice's contagious laughter and a small grin formed on his face. "Right the root couldn't resist you..." He murmured with slight mockery on his voice as he padded nearer to the apprentice and helping her get the leaves off. As he looked at her he gave her a tender look of his dark blue eyes and stood up, "Are we hunting or not?" He meowed with a smile, and observed their surrounding, "New-leaf.. beautiful." He whispered.

“Yeah, beautiful…” She inquired softly, but her gaze was fixed on him. Suddenly her confident and playful self felt small and minor compared to this new feeling. Her lungs felt as though they were filled with shards of glass. She hurriedly looked away shaking her pelt free of the remaining leaves, shrugging the indescribably feeling aside. “hunting…right…” he mewed awkwardly. She started to walk forward lowering her nose to the ground, drinking in the scents of the forest. “hmm….mouse.” She confirmed with a quick nod, all signs of uncertainty and doubt gone like the breeze. She strode forward dragging the tip of her tail along his back. He walk soon turned into a brisk jog as a new wave of scent it her. “This way! Quick!” She called quickly as she disappeared into the forest.

Stormfrost shook his head and ran after the apprentice with a fast pace he reached her almost bumping into her, "Sorry." He meowed, "What are you tracking?" He asked awkwardly feeling like if hot water ran through his bones.

Engrossed in her hunting it took a moment for Thornpaw to answer. “Mouse definitely, but theres…” Her voice trailed off as she tried to decipher the scent. Strange, definitely potent, she had not yet smell this scent before. “Lets continue to follow it, see what we find.” She suggested, shrugging her initial interest off. She took the moment to survey her surroundings. A dense clump of bracken to the left, and a stark white birch to the left, a beautiful sight. The birch stood proud and alone, unbent by hail and wind, its bark a sturdy yet elegant mixture of white with streaks of black. She felt a connection to the tree, its ashen trunk unique against the dark branches that surrounded them. She gaze drifted to Stormfrost. His coat as white and unique as the lone birch that towered above them. They are one, she decided secretly. Both stood silent, with a mysterious air around them. A cryptic smile parted her lips and she returned to perusing the scent, but not without a lick of secret affection on Stormfrost’s silver cheek.

Stormfrost's deep blue gaze studied the massive birch. He could feel the connection as he also guessed Thornpaw felt.. perhaps she as well as the magnificent tree radiated it. His soul felt clean and relaxed, he was happy. Stormfrost licked the apprentice back unconsciously; several heart-beats passed when he noticed and he flinched feeling rather strange yet he wanted that moment to last forever. He sat silently, watching her intently, not wanting to say a word or break the magic.

She smiled, truly mystified by his enchanting gaze. She could spend and eternity, just being with him. Neither words, nor gesture could describe it. When she was with him all she felt was… She shook herself. The feeling was new to her, alien. The sensation enthralled her, almost frightened her. Had she not always been the spirited, rebellious apprentice, with no regard to rules or laws to bind her? Her breath was even but her heart pounded. Could this truly be what it feels like to be in… She could not bring herself to say it. She smiled tenderly, standing, her feet suddenly itching to move. “Well, hunting, right.” She smiled, rubbing her pelt to his, teasing him. Then she danced off into the bracken, her amber eyes where all that could be seen.

The white mottled warrior nodded slightly, still within an enchantment, his actions were slow and his head on silverpelt. His deep blue gaze drifted till he found Thornpaw's, his deep blue eyes exploring hers. What could she be feeling, thinking...? The young warrior asked himself, without voicing his thoughts. He stood up, his words a gentle whisper, "Coming." His eyes not leaving the beautiful, dazzling apprentice. He was compelled to follow.

She could hear the mouse, inches before her. She flexed her claws eagerly. Hahahaha! But as she took the finally steps towards her kill, her paw landed unluckily on a thorn, how ironic. She yowled and sprang forward angrily. disturbing her hiding place. The mouse gave a horrific shriek and took of through the undergrowth. “No!” Thornpaw scowled setting off after the creature. She crashed through the bracken, not caring the racket she was making, actually quite proud of it. She leaped through the air, tearing through the brambles finding herself back in the small clearing. “No!” She mewed helplessly she tried to maneuver in mid air but to no avail. She crashed head on into Stormfrost, who had been unluckily standing there. sending them both sprawling. “Terribly sorry…” She muttered picking herself up. disappointed at her lost catch. She hastily got up, but something caught her eye. “You dirty stinkin’!” She fumed. The mouse sat at the edge of the clearing, and she almost swore it was laughing. But upon noticing her he scurried away. “Oh no you don’t you little.” She dove onto the underbrush, followed by a brief scuffle, and lots of noise. She emerged triumphant, the still alive mouth held daintily in her jaws. Her eyes shone to Stormfrost but what he couldn’t see was her embarrassed blush. She mumbled, dropping the mouse, catching it in her paws, though careful not to hurt it. She turned to the new cat. A tad scrawny, but hey.. She gazed at the mouse, letting it slip from her paws. “A mouse as cunning as you deserves to live another day.” She mewed quietly watching it disappear into the brambles. She turned slowly to face Stormfrost, her eyes widening as if a monster had just appeared out of the trees behind him. She leaped forward crashing into him a second time, but landing firmly on him, her eyes teasing. “oh, I thought I might have to save you from the big bad mouse.” She licked his check with a laugh, then rolled of of him to lay in the grass beside him. “Hmmm, some hunting trip eh?” Ooc: I had to spruce it up, and Thornpaw is such a klutz!
