Fur On End (Leafkit--ThunderClan kit)[Open]

[[Note: Leafkit is from ThunderClan, but she is very curious and adventurous and went out of camp to explore.]]

This didn't feel right. It didn't feel like home, for a start. The ground was all mushy and it smelled like pine. She wasn't sure, but she thought she was in ShadowClan. Leafkit's fur was straight up in fear. Plus, she was lost and had no idea where she was. But the excitement of an adventure was pulling her. What was out there? Was there going to be a battle?

Swiftcloud crouched on the edge of the territory behind some ferns, watching Leafkit wide terrified eyes. She noticed no one around, even though the smells were extremely strong. She rushed with amazing speed to the center of the camp where Leafkit was and grabbed her by the scruff, running as fast as her legs would carry her with her bundle and finally made it over the border after what seemed like forever.

"I trusted you!"

she yowled after she had set Leafkit on solid ground.

"I was just talking to Bramblestar about making me your mentor...and she said she might work something out. Don't make it worse for yourself. You could've been killed!"

In the end, she couldn't stay mad at the kit for adventuring. She rested her muzzle against Leafkit's.

"Please stay in camp until your ceremony. Ok?"

she asked with a gentle lick.

[Pantherpaw]

Two crimson eyes stared out from the nearby bushes, their blakc pupils locked on the two cats. A mind worked behind onyx fur, trying to figure out just who these cats were. He moved back and forth, in little, jerky motions, and his tail flicked. His paws, oversized for his age, padded on the ground, at least for now the wind was in his favor. He sniffed deeply, trying to figure out from where these cats were from. It wasn't Shadowclan. He was certain of that.

When the scent reached him, he coiled in surprise and shock. These were Thunderclan cats! He couldn't blame the kit...although he was angry that it was there too. But the warrior shouldn't be here, this was Shadowclan territory! Pantherpaw's body became rigid, and a snarl began in his throat. The apprentice allowed his onyx fur to bristle, his crimson eyes to blaze, before he lept out to join the intruding cats.

"Thunderclanners! Why are you on our territory?" He snarled, trying to make himself more threatning then he really was. He weaved back and forth, not quite steady on his paws, staring at the kit and warrior.

Swiftcloud turned sharply toward the voice, her claws unsheathing and her fur standing up. She arched her back and let her neck lay low to the ground, hissing threateningly.

"Shes just a kit. It isn't her fault,"
Swiftcloud snarled angrily. Her tail wrapped around Leafkit protectively. She didn't know who this Shadowclan cat was, but she wouldn't let any cat hurt her soon-to-be-apprentice. The air smelled of anger coming from both directions, and fear from both as well. Swiftcloud was confident, although she had never fought before.

She realized that the young apprentice could easily call for help, so she made a conscious effort to relax herself. She sheathed her claws and made her fur lay back down, but she kept her tail wrapped around the kit.

"It won't happen again,"
she meowed firmly, staring the apprentice in the eye.

[Pantherpaw]

Pantherpaw's eyes looked to the kit, sitting in the wrapped tail of the warrior. His eyes stayed on her for just a minute, before returning back to the she-cat warrior. For a moment, Pantherpaw was afraid that the she-cat would attack him, but she soon calmed down. It was wise, he realized, he was a fair runner, and could get back to camp for help if he needed it. He allowed himself to relax as well, despite his better judgement.

"Kits do tend to explore beyond their boundries." He muttered, his tail twitching. It was true, he had done it once or twice himself. "Maybe you should get back to your own territory, before someone else comes along. They wont be happy if they find out I let you go." He muttered. Despite the kindness in his words, they were chopped and cold. He stared at the she-cat, eyes narrowed slightly.

However, when he turned once again to look at the kit, his eyes softened. He leaned a bit closer, and allowed a slight smile to cross his face. "You'll get into trouble if you don't keep to your own territory, kit. Trust me, exploring isn't always as fun as it seems." He told her, winking slightly.

Swiftcloud smiled brightly, although he could sense it could turn to a snarl just as easily. She looked down at the apprentice and gave him a small nudge with her muzzle.

"Thanks,"
she meowed quickly, grabbing Leafkit and running into the woods, her bright white fur disappearing into the woods.

"But I wanna explore! " Leafkit yowled loudly. She stopmted her feet and wined. Grown ups were never fun! And all the clans were the same...they were all cats, weren't they? So what's the big deal? "What's the problem with that? ShadowClan's are friends!" she declared boldly.[/blockquote]

Dragonflower scented the air as she thought that the scent would be normal, but it was different. She soon relized that the scent was from the border with thunderclan. As she padded closer and closer she relized it was thunderclan. Her black fur was begining to bistle and her claws unsheathed. She rased her muzle to the sky and took in the air of mingled scents. She knew that there was several cats, including Shadowclan and thunderclan. Dragonflower crept closer and saw Pantherpaw from shadowclam and two other cats and she guessed that the are from thunderclan. Her eyes narrowed and Dragonflower jumped out in the open away from her hidding spot. Then she hissed to the thuderclan cats.," What are you doing here." Then she stared at Pantherpaw and asked,"Do you know these two?"

[[Hawk, we aren't with Pantherpaw anymore. And Javu...I'm sorry! Do you want to re-do it?]]

Swiftcloud looked down at Leafkit, her tail twitching angrily and her eyes ablaze.

"Leafkit. Shadowclan, as well as Riverclan and Windclan, are our enemies. The only time the warrior code demands we get along is at gatherings. You can't keep doing this if you want to be a Thunderclan warrior. You do, still plan on being my apprentice, don't you? Your warrior ceremony is coming up very, very soon. Don't ruin your chance."

She sat in front of the kit, eyes still angry although not as they were before, tail swishing behind her, patiently waiting a response.
