swallowkit gazed down at the surface of the stream, its constant movment intriging her. she wached with envy as a silver fish glided by down the river to new and exiting things. she had done her best to talk herself into staying in the camp but her curiosity had won her over, boardom giving her a slight push in the direction of freedom. she wached as the fish became a distant hope, as she longed to know what it would be like to be a fish.
she gave a sudden shreik as she launched herself to a shallow rock her paws rooted to its surface as though it were her life. but the soft sound of running water calmed her, and the feel of the licquid on her paws sent an odd sensation up her legs, and she enjoyed it. she had made sure that she had chosen the calmest and shallowest part of the stream, because just in case she was caught ,she would at least have something to formulate an argument off of.
swallowkits head whiped around in hope of seeing another fish, though this one was just a minnow. she leaped after it, though her loud splashed gave the minnow more than enough warning and it disapeared in the flow. swallowkit gazed around ,displeased that her new firend had left so suddenly.

Sparklestorm laughed at the young kit from her spot watching behind the ferns. Her lsughter having given her away, she stood and padded over to the river, sitting on the bank and letting her tail curl around her paws.
"Having fun, Swallowkit?" she meowed happily, her eyes lighting up. A drop of water from the churning stream landed on her paw and she immedietly lefted it to her mouth, licking the spot before setting it back down.

Swallowkit froze. Her carefree game stopped .her head whipped around to face the source of the voice. From her lopsided position she saw sparkle storm sitting behind her, amusement tinged her voice. As swiftly as she could, she turned herself to face the she cat. She pondered to herself how she could answer such a question, the question that had caught her in the act of the crime. Instead she sat shocked, her eyes widened and her posture lowered in apology. “I…I… wanted to play with the fish… and… no one would take me, …” she stammered. Though as she said it, she felt even stupider than when she had no response.
