From Warrior to Queen

Swiftcloud laid in the nursery, her paws itching to run. She was told the feeling would go away eventually. Her tail twitched as she watched her kits play. She was so happy...she had a loving mate and three beautiful kits. She closed her eyes for just a second, taking a deep breath to calm the restless feeling. She hoped Thornshadow would stop in when he got back from his patrol to say hello before he went to sleep in the warrior's den.

"Mommy!"
Autumnkit called, her tail wrapped around her paws and one paw held up in the air, her eyes glaring at her brother meanly. "Felonkit was playing without his claws sheathed again!"

Swiftcloud smiled as she heard Lionkit sigh at his siblings behavior. "Autumnkit, if you don't want to get hurt like that than just don't play. You know how your brother is."

Autumnkit sighed. "Yes momma." She padded over to her mother, curling up and falling asleep quickly in her mother's fur.

Leafstorm heard the same to kits squabling again so he sniffed his way into the nursery meowing."Is everything okay in here?"

Swiftcloud looked up at the new arrival, wrapping her tail around Autumnkit tightly and keeping her eyes on Lionkit and Felonkit. Her fur bristled. She didn't know why she was so protective! It must be her new motherly instinct kicking in.

"Everything's fine. Just the normal sibling fighting,"
she meowed with a smile and a pointed glance at Felonkit. Swiftcloud purred as she glanced over her three kits. Autumnkit shifted in her fur, making her twitch and glance down.

Leafstorm looked over at Swiftcloud meowing."Dont worry im going to be a Father myself soon to and(he looked at the kits)try not to hurt eachother why you are playing remember you are clan mates and when you become warriors remember to seath your claws or you could get in big trouble."

Feathertail relunctanly stepped into the nursery and laid down. "My dear Starclan...i feel as if i gained a few pounds." She looked at her stomach. "So Swiftcloud...you doing well?" The she-cat looked at the kits and back to her stomach. She began to whisper the names outloud over and over again. Feathertail had started doing this for a few days now. "Pepperkit, Jadekit, Speckledkit, Lionkit, Dewkit..." She wasnt so sure how many there would be but she came up with five names just in case.

OOC: Espeon! lol

IC: Swiftcloud purred at the new queen. Her tail moved in the air, wrapping around young Autumnkit as she slept. Her blue eyes kept track of her other kits as she responded.

"Just fine. Those are lovely names, Feathertail."

She rasped a tongue over Felonkit's fur, who just rolled his eyes.
