Swirlkit, Cresentkit, Crystalkit, Shellkit, Petalkit, and Brightkit waited for their mother to arrived back in the nursery.
Out of the sudden, a voice came. "Kits, I'm back!", she purred at them. She felt safe when she looked at her darling kit. "Who wants to hear a story?" she asked them.
All of them cheered and sat in a circle with Ferntail, waiting for her story. Ferntail talked and talked until she can see their eyes sparkled more and more at the sight of hearing her story. ".......and that's how the story ends", she said, ending with a sigh. "Mother, what a splendid story you told us!" Swirlkit, being the youngest purred. "Thank you Swirlkit", she said and licked her cute kit. "I've heard that we'll get adopted soon", Cresentkit mewed, feeling sad. Ferntail's heart sank when she heard the little kit mewed. "Don't worry, you'll all get adopted to good cats. You'll see", she replied, at the verge of crying.
Her kits gave her a loving hug. "We'll miss you mom", they all mewed. Ferntail was happy to have such wonderful kits.
