Applekit pranced around the nursery, long orange tail brushing against the brambles that prevented him from taking in the world with his deep green eyes. Envious of the older cats who could come and go as they pleased but content to stay just where he was, Applekit simply smiled at everything and everyone as if he hadn't a care in the world. Which, for those who knew him; his mother, father, and siblings, they knew wasn't entirely true. Pushing aside darker thoughts so he could enjoy the day, which he had heard was particularly sunny for this time of year, he chased a small yellow butterfly that had found her way into the nursery. Tiny paws outstretched in the air to attempt to catch his first prey, Applekit showed off to his mother, whose gray pelt he could see out of his peripheral vision in the corner.
Sparklestorm couldn't be happier right now. Her three young kits were healthy and playful, sometimes to the point of exhaustion, but her heart had forever gone out to them. She now understood the meaning of sacrifice, and other terms she had heard elder queens use. Flicking her ears as she kept her blue eyes on the dancing orange pelt that played in front of her, she caught pawsteps outside of the nursery that she just thought she recognized...

His heart skipped a beat, watching the others with clear wonder. How could they move with such, swift beauty? Amazement and wonder in his pale teal eyes. Flutterkit wished for the same grace in which warriors moved. His gray ears twitched at the sound of his brother moving. But he didn't turn around to join in the play. Rather entranced by the daily routines of the many, many Riverclanners. "Father's coming." Flutterkit meowed brightly. Reaching up to nuzzle his father. Carrying two plump riverfish, the young warrior entered camp. Ocean blue eyes staring at his white paws. He wondered briefly how Sparklestorm was doing. The kits were healthy, rambunctious and he loved them. Ambercloud was an emtremely proud father. With easy grace, he strode towards the den. Nuzzling Flutterkit before he entered. He licked Sparklestorm's head.
"How are you?"
The young tom asked his mate. Love shining brightly in his blue eyes. OOC: Eee, that sucked.

Sparklestorm smiled at her mate, deep blue eyes sparkling brightly, proving how she had gotten her name. She returned the lick, adding another for extra measure, and turned her eyes back to the prancing kits. "I'm good." She meowed simply. OOC: Yours didn't, but I dont have enough time to RP anymore! It makes me sad.

Rosethorn smiled happily. She had decided to stay in the nursery and help her former apprentice with her first litter of kittens, seeing as her own were going to be apprenticed any day now. Sparklestorms kits were simply adoreable. Rosethorn couldn't be anymore pleased than the mother herself.

Sparklestorm smiled at Rosethorn, her former mentor and now her unofficial mentor, although it was an uneasy smile. She still wasn't sure about the whole mother thing, although she felt so proud and her heart wanted to burst whenever she set her eyes upon her kittens. Ambercloud was such a helper, she loved him so much. She knew both she and the kittens were taken care of for life.

"Don't worry, you're turning out to be a great mother," Rosethorn tried to reasure the young queen. She remembered how hard it was for her to mother her kits with her mate in another Clan, but she was strong for them. Sparklestorm just needed confidence in her abilities and that her mate would be there for her. "They are wonderful kits, strong and healthy and quite promising. They'll make great warriors," she said with a sigh. It was getting restless in her litter. The three kits had yet to become apprentices, but she was patient and knew that they would soon.
