Bonefoot creeped out of Bramblestar's den, his white head held high and strong. He felt more confident than ever, given the trust and permission by the leader herself to make such decisions for ThunderClan. Swooping up on top of the High Ledge, the deputy gave a commanding caterwaul. "All cats old enough to cath their own prey gather here beneath the High Ledge of a Clan meeting!"

Spottedpaw bounded over to the High Ledge and looked expectantly at Bonefoot. What would he have to say? Shouldn't Bramblestar be making the announcement? So many questions bubbled in her head as she waited to hear what he had to say. In a way she was excited. She loved announcements but yet hated them.

Swiftcloud padded out of the nursery, unwrapping her tail from the sleeping Autumnkit and trusting the other queens to watch her kits for a few moments. Swiftcloud, being the newest queen and still having warrior skills, was the one chosen to hear the news and deliver it to the others in the nursery. She padded up to the rock, her tail wrapping around her paws in her usual position and glancing up at the deputy.
The slight wind made her fur cold, and she shivered. The sheltered nursery hadn't allowed her to feel the fresh air for a while, and she loved the feeling. She looked around for her mate, Thornshadow, but couldn't find him anywhere. She hadn't seen him in ages...and she was worried. She turned her attention back to the deputy and waited for him to speak.

From the entrance to camp came a white-pelted cat, with mismatched eyes, one green, one blue. One black mark ran through each eye, giving the cat the look of a mime. A joyful, calm smile lit up his maw, and he glanced breifly at the High Ledge as he padded beneath it. "A meeting? Excellent, excellent." He muttered to himself as he curled his bushy tail around his body, and settled down. He looked up expectantly, waiting for the meeting to begin.

((Anyone can join in from here on))
A beautiful, blue-gray warrior emerged into the sunlight of the hollow, stretching her limbs eagerly before trotting up to the base of High Ledge. Shiningstream was in a great mood that day, and seeing Bonefoot taking orders where Bramblestar usually conducted her meetings didn't seem to bother her. She was a very ambitious cat, always waiting to spring up with new ideas if a problem came about. But that didn't mean she wasn't worried about Bramblestar, who was her former mentor. Looking around, the she-cat padded over to Hawkmask, glancing uneasily at him with a touch of enthusiasm. "May I sit with you?"
Bonefoot watch as more ThunderClan cats were beginning to assemble. Stretching his voice so he could be heard all about their large numbers, he yowled, "Everyone, gather! I have some news to share." When enough of the Clan has gathered, he continued. "Bramblestar is ill. She will recover, but it will be quite a while before she has enough strength to walk out of her den. Because of her condition, she has given me full responsibility over the needs of ThunderClan, and that includes apprentice and warrior ceremonies, as well as Gatherings. Anyone wish to speak?"

Hawkmask glanced at Shiningstream as she walked over to him, looking almost as if she was nervous. He couldn't help the sudden purr that rose up in his throat, and he allowed his tail to flick out, as though trying to clean off the spot next to him. "Of course you may." He said kindly, looking at her with his mismatched eyes, and blinking. Then, he turned his head to glance up at Bonefoot, who had begun to speak again. A prick of unease swept through him at his words. So, Bramblestar was sick, was she? Bonefoot seemed confident in her recovery, and so Hawkmask pushed back the worry. Their leader was strong.

Bramblestar listened to the announcement from inside her den. Bonefoot's strong voice carried far enough so that she could catch almost every word. Pride swelled within her as she listened to her deputy speak. He was a great cat, and hearing him speak to the Clan in such a way made Bramblestar even more confident that he would lead ThunderClan well after her nine lives were up. She sneezed, and curled her tail over her nose. Darn this sickness, she meowed to herself, I should probably try to rest. She closed her eyes and attempted to fall asleep.

There was a deafening crash, accompanied by an earsplitting yowl from the thicket to the side of the meeting, as a young cat emerged from the brambles, a more than mortified expression on her tawny visage. Thornpaw blustered over, nearly tripping over her own tail as she hastily crossed the clearing, feeling the eyes of the other clan members upon her. Her coat was wet, sticking out at impossible angles, accompanied by the bewildered look in her eyes made for a hilarious sight. She sat down clumsily next to her mentor Shinningstream, shooting her a baffled and apologetic look. Then came the excuses. “S..s… Sorry I’m late, I was hunting and there was this thing..” her eyes were wide and the words just poured out, an unstoppable force. “…and then I was thirsty so I was going to drink from the river and then I looked and there it was! Right behind me! And…and..I fell in. So I was coming back and I’m sorry I’m late and…” she noticed the odd looks directed towards her and she seemed to trip over her words. “Ahem, right,…uh, sorry...” She fell silent, pretending to have found something interesting on the ground, directing her attention on that while her mouth twitched into an embarrassed smile.
