Hawkclaw called after her but she was already gone. He slowly headed back to camp, his head and tail low or draging on the ground. When he arrived at camp he saw Rabbitpaw in the apprentices den and he decided that he would not bug her. Instead he went to his den and laid down feeling bad for his apprentice wondering if she will every talk to him again.

Rabbitpaw crawled out of the apprentice's den, the new morning sunlight hitting her face and making her emerald eyes squint. She looked around, seeing a couple of cats she recognized from the nursery, and then Hawkclaw. She shuffled her paws, embarrassed by her reaction yesterday. She decided she would try and clear the air.
Padding over to her mentor, she licked her paw for a few seconds as she thought of what to say. Deciding to get straight to the point, she meowed,
"I'm so sorry, Hawkclaw. I ruined yesterday's lesson by letting my emotions get in the way of my training, something no real warrior would ever do. It won't happen again."
She looked at him pleadingly, waiting for a reaction. She almost wanted him to punsih her in some way for what she did. She shook her head sadly.
"And I'm prepared for any punishment you want to give me."

"It is ok Rabbitpaw, things like this happens all the time," He said softly. Then he said more sternly," The only punishment that i will give you is,..... you will have to think this over instead of training for today, and when your done thinking this over tommaro we'll start up your trainig again."

Sparklepaw nodded, slightly surprised at the lenient punishment. She had expected something more severe. She shuffled her paws as she felt the sun on her back, warming her.
"Thank you, Hawkclaw. I'll think it over," she meowed. She dipped her head to him, padding over to the edge of the camp, where she knew she would be alone, and laid down. Her tail curled around her paws in a comfortable position. She sighed, closing her eyes and taking in the sunlight. The warmth helped her think, which she severely needed to do at the moment. Thoughts of her future filled her head, and she saw herself with young kits scampering around her. She looked around for the kits father, and just as she was about to see him, a bird called overhead, startling her out of her dreams.
She snarled to herself and laid her head back down, going back inside the dream easily. The two kits ran around her feet, talking excitedly. Rabbitpaw smiled in her sleep.
