Gathering Rules Respect the other Clans; don't break the truce on this night while the moon is high. Anyone may attend, as long as their leader has already arrived. Bramblestar crossed the fallen log, walking carefully so that she wouldn't slip off and fall into the cold water below. She shivered, thinking of the RiverClan cats swimming in this water. She was excited to be at the gathering, having not been at the last one. He sickness had prevented her from coming, and she had sent Bonefoot in her place. He had done well, and this made her proud. Taking a seat near a mulberry bush, she waited for the other Clans to arrive.
Thistleclaw padded into the clearing behind his leader. He was excited for the gathering, and eager to see his friends from the other Clans. He always enjoyed hearing news from the other parts of the forest.

Hawkclaw followed his leader into the island. He was weary whilst crossing the log...it was definetly his least favorite part of the whole journey. He felt a slight brush of night-wind, and shivered, although it was also comforting.
He lept off of the end of the log, landing a little-less-then gracefully. He nearly tripped over his paws, yet somehow managed to stay on his feet. His thick fur ruffled as it continued on, while his body had stopped. He flashed a sheepish grin to anyone else in the clearing who might have seen his slip-up.

Thistleclaw smiled good-naturedly as he noticed his friend's accident. He padded over to him, relishing the cool breeze that ruffled the cats' fur. It carried the scent of the coming leaf-fall, promising fat prey and a good season. "I wonder when the other Clan's will arrive," he mused to Hawkclaw.

"Hopefully not too soon," the ThunderClan deputy remarked. Bonefoot shook his head, which was drenched sightly in dew and the constant splashes that his Clanmates insisted on continuing. And, he wasn't in the most pleasant mood. The last Gathering had been successful, but...he could feel the disapproving gazes from all around. "Maybe next time the other Clans won't see us so weak." He abandoned his spot quickly, choosing to sit by Bramblestar before the other leaders arrived. "May I rely some news you could use for the Gathering?"
Shiningstream felt herself smirking good-naturally. She flicked the deputy's ear as he passed, but he ignored her. "You'd think I was trying to take his job, the way he acts around me," she laughed. Shiningstream had been talking with Hawkmask and Thistleclaw, but her light-hearted tone suddenly died, becoming more wary as she looked to Hawkmask uncertainly. Not long ago she had told the tom of her deputy ambitions. How would he take that?

"The last gathering seemed to drag on. I, for one, hope they arrive quickly." Hawkmask replied both to Thistleclaw's muse, and to Bonefoot's grumbling. Sure, the reason for the last one dragging on might have been the fact that Hawkclaw had not talked to anyone, but still, he was not overly eager to repeat the experiance.
He glanced at Shiningstream as she walked past Bonefoot, obviously trying to make some kind of conversation. You'd think I was trying to take his job, the way he acts around me.At this, Hawkmask's ear flicked. He remembered what Shiningstream had said...but then, she didn't seem like the kind of cat who would actually try and steal the position away. Plus, Hawkmask knew that the other had been teasing. So, he smiled good-heartedly at her.

Palestar walked into the center of the island. She was tired and overworked, having been doing so much lately. RiverClan was growing, stronger and larger. Both were good and bad. The cold weather would be coming soon and their would be many mouths to feed from now on. But they had plenty of warriors now. She heaved her body upon the middle branch of the tree designated for leaders to speak from. She noticed that Bramblestar was the only other leader there yet. She nodded her head in greeting and respect to the ThunderClan leader.

"Hello Palestar," meowed Bramblestar, nodding her head in return. "The other Clans still haven't arrived, and the moon won't be high for much longer," she meowed worriedly. "Have you heard any news from Rainstar and Fernstar?" she asked Palestar, lashing her tail in agitation.

"I agree, they mustn;'t be much longer though. They wouldn't have forgotten, so they must be running a bit late," Palestar nodded her head as she spoke. Her whiskers twitched from nerves. She hadn't had much time to think about what she was going to say, her eyes showing a brilliant green. They weren't blue, because she wasn't angry. Palestar was actually relieved to have the extra time.
