Shadowkit pounced directly in front of him, at the tail of the "mystery cat" he was fighting. He took a flying leap and swiped the evil cat directly across the nose, snorting when his chubby belly slid across the soft dirt below. A smile swept across his face when he got a clear shot at his neck. He reached back a powerful paw that wasn't his yet and was halfway through the air when.....
Time froze still and a voice in his head told him to run, run away, fast. He ignored it- he had some very important fighting to do- until it got louder and: GO NOW screamed across his head, blew his ears away and.....
He was swept off his feet and the first blow raked the tips of the fur on his head. He winced realizing the pain it would have caused; though he was not out of danger yet, he didn't know. The smile of contempt etched his face a second time as he came close to killing the bad guy when he looked up to the sky and something was crashing down swiftly at him. That was the last thing he saw, silver claws searing the peace of an open sky, 6 claws, on two small paws, and legs that had too much fur stretched across the sky in two large arcs; they were come to him, and the claws grasped around his eyes; two grasping the flesh around them. Red blood swelled into his eyes and his vision faltered, until he could see nothing. The claws raked and scratched and he yowled in pain, his paws flailing out, trying to reach the real bad guy, but he couldn't see him. He tried to cry but the tears burned as he was lifted up, his small body lifted in the air, him screaming until he heard his mother's soothing voice below, her screaming until----
Jadeeyes was laying in the nursery watching Virtuouskit, she had a cough when screaming was heard. She dismissed it, thinking it was a game, until she recognized Shadowkit's voice. Her motherly instincts told her to rush out there so she got up and hurried out. Her eyes could not be believable. Her son was being carried away by a hawk, its claws embedded in her son's eyes, killing her son's being. She screamed and flung herself up at the evil beast, causing both the bird and her son to plummet to the earth. She bit the bird's neck and clawed as much as she could before it grabbed her neck in its beack, and powerfully tossed her aside, trying to attack again. Jadeeyes quickly stood up and defended her downed son, awaiting any help to arrive, for there were more falcon's approaching...

The small form of Tigerkit awoke from his imperturbable sleep as he felt his mother's warmth fading away. His blood red orbs flung open, and wide as he noticed Jadeeyes rush outside the nursery. The small tom squeaked and followed after his mother, but tripped clumsily over his big paws. He stood up immediately shaking his pelt and giving quick licks to smoothen it. In his ears rung the voice of his brother- Shadowkit. "What happened?" He called in a childish mew at his mother, whom he couldn't catch up with. His eyes wore a frightened expression as enormous birds circled the sky above them.

The screeching and screaming broked through the clouded dreams of the onyx apprentice. His eyes snapped open, and for a moment he tried to run, although he was still laying down. Finally he hauled himself to his feet, breathing hard. What a dream! That screaming...it had almost sounded like a cat...but there was screeching too, the sound of a bird. For the moment he still believed that the noises had been in his dream only, that is, until he heard the bird-call again, as well as the furious screeching of a cat. Something was happening just outside of the den!
Pantherpaw ran out, his massive, unsitely paws hitting the ground hard. He could see Jadeeyes, and her young kits. They looked alright, had they been playing some sick game? But, suddenly the apprentice saw the red on the ground, coming from the one kits eyes...he saw the bird, circling, ready for another attack upon the helpless kits. Jadeeyes was not simply talking with her kits, she was protecting them. "Hawk! Hawk!" Pantherpaw cried, fear suddenly rushing through his heart. Jadeeyes was busy, she had to keep the bird away, but the kits..they needed to be hidden.
"Fool!" He spat at the young Tigerkit, as he grabbed him by the scruff. "Don't you see what that is? Its a hawk, it might grab you, do the same to you as it has your brother! You should be in the nursury! Hurry up now!" He snarled, sending a piercing glare at the young kit. He then trotted to the side of the bleeding Shadowkit, feeling his heart catch. He didn't know these kits well... but they were in danger, they needed to be hidden...but this one needed to be taken care of, and fast. Pantherpaw glanced up at the circling hawk. Could it get to him? Would it be able to slice him open as well? The apprentice's onyx tail flicked, and he stepped over the young Shadowkit. "Jadeeyes! What should I do?" He called to the she-cat. This was her kit, afterall.

Jadeeyes gave a brief glance over at the young apprentice Pantherpaw, always ready to help. "Do what you think you should do." she said slowly, tring to regain clamness, "And then get more warriors, and get Shadowkit medical care quickly." Her small body pulsed with anger, this hawk had taken a part of her kit's childhood away. "Tigerkit get back to the nursury dear, or stay with your brother, But Virtuouskit may need watching and a strong kit like you can takwe the job," she said giving her son a wink while dodging another attack from the hawk. (((Anyone can roleplay the hawk but I need approval from Fernstar before more come. I already asked her but she needs to run it by the other admins first. So we can roleplay this one. And I meant to say hawks not falcons )))

The young kit froze in terror as his wide orbs stared blankly at the sky. He was brought back to his sense by firm jaws on his scruff, an ebon apprentice- looking rather big to his eyes, and whom he had never seen, carried him. He flinched with his words, and stuttered, "Ha-awk?" He looked once again at the sky were the birds circled, and understood what the apprentice meant. He wailed loudly, "Shadowkit!!" and tried to struggle away from tom's grip, when he heard his mother's voice, soothing him. Little Tigerkit's scarlet orbs shone at her mother's compliment, and encouragement, and he nodded his kit head, letting himself be carried away, but not after shouting, "Father has to help!"

Dragonflower arrived back at camp with her jaws full of prey when she saw cats gathering on blood soaken dirt. She dropped her prey in the fresh kill pile and she dashed over to the group of cats. When she got there she meowed, "What is wrong?" Then she gasped as she saw Shadowkit on the ground with blood and wounds all over his face. "What and who did this," she meowed with some hardness in her face as she thought of her poor clanmate on the ground. Starclan, please don't take this kit with you today, Dragonflower thought.

Jadeeyes said softly, " Just look up Dragonflower." Jadeeyes did the same, watching the hawks circle above her. She took a short glance over at her kit, dead to the world, "Khansoul watch my back for a minute," she said. Then she padded over to her small limp kit, noting his small pattern of breathing. "Shadowkit..." she whispered.

Dragonflower looked toward the medicine cat den to see if anyone would come to help save poor Jadeeye's kit. Her eyes kept flitering back and forth, to the med. den then to poor shadowkit. When will somebody come, Dragonflower thought.

Pantherpaw was glad when the young kit he stood over seemed to calm, and the apprentice moved aside. This kit would be fine, he knew. Now, it was Shadowkit that was in the most trouble. Pantherpaw wasn't sure who the medicine cat was right now, or if they would even come. The kit couldn't wait for that, could it? And the hawk was still there, as though waiting its chance to take the kit away for good. Pantherpaw ran up the fallen kit, shielding it with his massive body. "Shadowkit? Listen, I think you need to stay awake, ok? You probably want to sleep...but don't. Just...stay with me, ok?"
He needed something...what was it that was used for bleeding? Cobwebs, wasn't it? But how could he get some, with his help needed here? So, with a resigned sigh, he began to siphon the blood away from the kits face with his tounge, pressing hard to try and stop the bleeding.

Eagleclaw shouldered his way through the crowd, eyeing the apprentice Pantherpaw suspiciously. Did the apprentice do this? he thought to himself. Then he relaxed as he realized he was only helping. He walked over to sit beside the cat, "You need help," he asked him.

The pale toasted orange-brown pelt of the small kit looked gloomy in the protective shadows of the nursery, his striped coat perfectly blended with the surrounding, but his alert vermilion orbs told away his presence, obediently he guarded himself with Virtuosity inside the nursery, but curiously, yet cautiously he peeked his small head through the entrance watching every movement the warriors made. "Mother is going to crush everyone!" He whispered to himself and to his sister. Suddenly his optics brightened, "Father!" He gasped. Rhythmic pawsteps were heard from the distance as the lithe orange warrior trotted into the bloody scene. His yellowish eyes fell upon the center, where the massive Pantherpaw shielded a kit- his eyes narrowed and his heart leaped, his lips twisting slightly- even though he hadn't been at the right time instinctively he knew who was the helpless kit. He eyed with distrust the form of Eagleclaw near the apprentice and his kit, and stopped his bounding as he reached the center of the camp. Regaining his breath he yowled, "Take Shadowkit somewhere safe, be quick and careful about it." He growled at the ebon apprentice. "Don't let your guard down, hawks may swoop down at any moment." He meowed directing to the others, when he felt talons raking down his back. Screeching he bared his fangs trying to twist around and reach for his enemy's flesh.

Pantherpaw felt a slight shiver as he gazed at Eagleclaw, who for a moment had distrust in his eyes. It seemed to pass quickly, though, and suddenly the warrior seemed to want to help. Pantherpaw was glad, but there was still a slight problem. The panic in Pantherpaw's heart could not tell him what to do. Where could the kit go? It needed to be shielded from the hawk, obviously, which is what he was doing. But it was loosing blood...and quickly.
And suddenly Khansoul was speaking to him, and he could feel the panic die down. Although he was sure the warrior was terrified for his kit, he didn't show it. And his calm words, though yelled, calmed Pantherpaw in passing. So, while keeping as much of his body over the kit as possible, the apprentice leaned down, and grabbed the tender scruff of the bleeding kit. He began to pull him towards the nearest den, the nursury, apperantly. He didn't think he'd need much help, as long as the hawk was kept busy. Of course, when the apprentice's crimson eyes looked up, he saw the hawk attacking Khansoul. He looked at Eagleclaw, hoping the warrior would help the other. He, meanwhile, had to get the kit to safety. He glanced down at the kit, ready to begin pulling again. Was the kit still awake?

The hawk watched as his easy prey was being carried away, Jadeeyes noticed. It started to fly towards Pantherpaw, ready to stoop down when a flah of black leaped apon it. Eagleclaw dug his claws in and jumped straight over the hawk, pushing Pantherpaw with his snout to pick up speed (I hope its not powerplaying... ) Shadowkit cried out in pain, "Mommy.." he sighed Eagleclaw came up next to the apprentice, ready to defend him if needed. Then he remembered, there were kits in the nursery. He sprung up ahead and ran into the den. "Okay kits," he grumbled, " You're going to see a lot of blood... But I promise Shadowkit's going to be okay." he said behind a grin. Oh Eagleclaw had a lust for blood... But he had to stay focused, not become a savage.
