Against the winds and fresh scents of a river, Miserystrike only felt distrust and gloomy clouds hanging over her pale tabby head. For years she had planned on avenging her dead father by killing the ShadowClan cats during Bloodyheart's raid. I have failed... And that she did. Though her temper was intact, a new sense of concousness and guilt sweeped over her. She couldn't live the life of a loner. I don't know this Clan... but maybe they will accept me... I need a new life.

Frozencreek and his patrol were near the borders. He was thinking hard about something, but didn't know why. He didn't catch the strange cat's scent until they were very close. He sniffed the air, "What's that?" he asked the group. But it was too late for an answer. He didn't wair and jumped over the log that separated the group from Miserystrike. He landed with a thud.
((Anyone want to be in the patrol? I don't want to be all alone!))

((Ok! ) "Wait for me!" The mottled apprentice yowled after the warrior. She hurriedly scrambled up the log and jumped off. Now that she was on the other side she could see what was troubling Frozencreek. Dewpaw's pelt fluffed up and since she could not recognize any clan scent in her, she knew the cat was a rogue or loner. The mottled apprentice hissed the first thing that got into her head "What are you doing in our territory rogue!?"

((I don't think they'll battle, but sure!))
Frozencreek didn't dare to show any emotion. He didn't want to frighten her away and didn't want to allow her to trespass freely. "Yes, what are you doing in our territoy?" he asked.

Miserystrike froze in place, her pelt standing on end in irritation. Was this RiverClan? It had to be! Despite their nature, the she-cat was quite impressed that she may be able to join a Clan that protected their boundries well. Maybe this will work... "My name is Miserystrike. I was part of Bloodyheart's raiding party." There was no regret in her voice, only exhaustion. "I would like to join your Clan."

"Join the group. You aren't the only follower we have," he laughed. He moved closer to her and whispered in her ear, "I won't hold your past against you, but others might not be so forgiving." When he spoke those words he remembered his dark bloodline. His mother, traitior, and his father, murderer. He stepped back, unsure of her reaction. "We will take her to Palestar. I'm sure that another warrior will do us all good," he spoke to the crowd. He smirked evily at the newcomer. "Anyone care to disagree with me? If so, I wouldn't recommend that," he warned.
He caught himself in the act. Mood-swings much. This was not new to him, but usually tried to keep quiet when they occured. He put on a false smile, trying to reasure the group that he was joking, when truly he was not. "Palestar will make her decision on what to do with all of our new cats. RiverClan is becoming more and more mixed. No one is pureblooded anymore, so you won't be turned away," he meowed with a slight edge to his voice.

Dewpaw's pelt bristled in disgust and indignation. Her eyes narrowed at the sight of the rogue.. drifting her gaze to the warrior. "I was part of Bloodyheart's raiding party." She mocked, How could Frozencreek accept her!? Dewpaw snorted out loud and started in a swirft gallop towards the Riverclan camp; it was evident that she did not now about Frozencreek's past. The apprentice ran faster and filled with fury, "As if the clan were so weak that we needed rogues!" She cried with indignation.

Miserystrike let out a barely audible purr of thanks. "Thank you." But her heart was still cold, though her gaze wavered at Frozencreek's generous offer. "Need be, if I'm not accepted, you may kill me. I have no place to go if RiverClan does not work out." Miserystrike hung her golden head, the best show of humbleness she could pocess. "Please take me to your leader."

"Yes. We will take you to see Palestar. She will do what she sees fit, for the Clan and perhaps for you. She is kind, but will not handle traitors or insolent cats," he meowed as he led the way back despite the hushed protests he had heard from the rest of his patrol. He knew he couldn't sat anthing bad about the rouge, but didn't know enough good about her to defend her. He explained everything to Palestar the moment they entered the clearing.
Palestar listened carefully. She hadn't said a word before things had been said and told. "Miserystrike. A sad name for one so beautiful, and I can only ask why. Before anything is decided, you must explain: why RiverClan of the four Clans of the forest?"

Miserystrike almost unintentionally clung to Frozencreek, her head bowed in respect for the Clan leader. Beautiful? Miserystrike never thought that, but didn't question Palestar as a first impression. "My place could never be with ShadowClan, for they had killed my father a while back, and I spurned them by attacking with Bloodyheart. I had heard rumors of RiverClan, who are very protective of their boundries and strong fighters. If I wanted to be a Clan cat, I wanted to be part of one that I could be proud of." She half glanced at Frizencreek beside her.

Frozencreek felt a surge of awkwardness as Miserystrike stayed beside him. He'd never had this feeling before, only pride and determination to prove himself. He had friends, but no one whom he could care about. He had taken the role of surgate father for Rosethorn's kits, and loved them almost as if they were his own flesh and blood, but none to love. "If I may, Palestar, I believe that RiverClan needs warriors. Here is one willing to defend our lands..." he stepped in, knowing that he may anger Palestar, but hoped their friendship would overcome her new title.
Frozencreek's words struck her. "It is not your place, but you are right. I will give you the same rights and way to earn your place in RiverClan. You will be an apprentice, so to say. You will observe our ways for one moon and then will earn your right to be a RiverClan warrior," she decided. She had done the same for Ebonyashes, who was now a true RiverClan warrior. "But first..." she lept up and onto the High Rock, calling her Clan "May all cats old enough to catch their own prey, gather before me for a Clan meeting!" she thundered and waited for the Clan to come out of their dens.

Darkpaw glance out of the croud, lowering his head for the sun shone in his eyes. He padded near Palestar, and saw a new cat, a rogue maybe. He didn't care, he wanted to be friends.
