Bearpaw sat on the moor looking around...

Rabbitpaw padded up to Bearpaw. She knew he was another Windclan apprentice, although she had never talked to him. The slight breeze made her fur ruffle as she called out to him.

"Guess what? I've got a mentor now! Hawkclaw decided he would mentor me."
She was so happy, and the smile she wore lit up her face, making her green eyes sparkle like emeralds. Her brown paws shuffled as she hoped the apprentice would respond. She needed more friends in her clan.

Hawkclaw sat down next to his apprentice. "Yep, thats me!" he replied, smiling down at his new apprentice.

"That's great!" said Bearpaw with little enthusiasum in his voice.
"I wish someone would mentor me." he said.

Rabbitpaw looked up at her mentor. Their eyes met, and Rabbitpaw was tempted to look away from the intense stare, but she held her ground.

"Hawkclaw...do you think we could take Bearpaw with us?"
she asked, her voice surprisingly like music. Her front leg stretched out, claws extending before going back into their rightful spot.

"Yes it sure is," Hawkclaw meowed smiling. Then he said "who is your mentor?"

"I don't have a mentor yet." Bearpaw replied.
He shot a look at Rabbitpaw; her fur looked beautiful in the sunlight.
He streched his paws sat down and began to lick his paw.

Rabbitpaw let her tail twitch, not knowing how she affected both of the toms. She padded forward to lay down beside Bearpaw, washing his fur for him. Her tail moved in the wind, the sun shining on her fur, warming it wonderfully. She purred happily.

Hawkclaw stared at the two apprentices and felt a pang of jealousy. Than he said coldly," Sure we can him along."

Just then Falcomflight emerged from over the hill. "Hey you guys!," he called.
(hey metal, falconflight can be bear's mentor.)

The second that Rabbitpaw had started licking him his mind went numb!

"Hi Falcomflight" said Bearpaw.

((Ok Hawk...Falcomflight is Bears Mentor!))

Rabbitpaw's ears twitched at her mentor's cold voice, and she stopped her washing to rise to her feet and walk over to him.

"Thanks, Hawkclaw."
She gave him a lick on the cheek to emphasize her point. She smiled at Falconflight as he walked up.

"Hello,"
she meowed, smelling Windclan on him. Her tail rested on Hawkclaw's shoulder, letting him know she was still there.

"Your welcome, Rabbitpaw," Hawkclaw said less coldly. " Hi Falconflight"

"Hi again," Falconflight said. Then he saw Rabbitpaw a Haawkclaw "cuddleing" over there and wondered what was happening.

Rabbitpaw nodded at Falconflight before turning back to Bearpaw and Hawkclaw.

"Wanna go, guys?"
she meowed happily. She took a few steps down the hill, her tail leaving Hawkclaw's shoulder as she walked away. She looked over her shoulder at them and opened her mouth to say something, but a rabbit darted across her path at that moment and she dashed to catched it, forgetting she was on the side of a hill.

She yowled out as her paws twisted sideways and she fell, rolling down the hill and landing at the bottom, dazed and blinking. Both paws on her right side were swollen. She meowed very softly, a mixture of pain, surprise, and embarressment.

Hawkclaw yowled ,"Rabbitpaw!" He ran to he side and asked," Are you o.k?" Then he started liking his apprentice all over, almost in tears. "Are you hurt?"

Falconflight ran to the top of the hill watching Hawkclaw and Rabbitpaw but keeping his distance. Then he said, "Are you alright?"

Rabbitpaw meowed again, leaning into Hawkclaw's licks. Her body shook, and her eyes were glazed over. She opened her mouth, but nothing would come out. She couldn't believe that she had been so stupid! She mentally chided herself as she tried to work through the pain.
