A meeting of cats...

Hawkclaw couldn't fight back the tears as they came flowing down his face. She can't be dead he thought. He lefted his muzzle to the sky and yowled," nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnoooooooooooooooo!" Than Hawkclaw buried his muzzle into Rabbitpaw's beautiful fur.

Rabbitpaw shook, the cold wind now a burden instead of an enjoyable breeze. She realized Hawkclaw was crying and attempted to stand, making it only a few inches off the ground before realizing she couldn't go anywhere and falling back down. She meowed.

[~*hawkclaw*~]

Hawkclaw pricked his ears toward Rabbitpaw's body. Then he wishpered,"Rabbitpaw? Rabbitpaw?" A few tears were still coming and then he said," are you there?"

[{Snarky}]

Rabbitpaw meowed again, this time a little louder. Every time she tried to talk, her throat was painfully sore. She tried to stand again, making it a little farther before she fell back down.

"Rabbitpaw!" Bearpaw exclaimed, running down the hill. He shoved his way past Hawkclaw and began licking Rabbitpaw all over. "I love you!" he whispered so that only Rabbitpaw could hear.

Hawkclaw look at his new apprentice with sorrow filled eyes. the first day i get a wonderful apprentice and then all of a sudden she gets hurt. Hawkclaw saw Rabbitpaw try to get up without any success, so he deided to help. "Falconflight come here and help!"

Falconflight sped down the small hill. He soon arrived at Hawkclaws side. Then the two toms tried to left Rabbitpaw back on her own four paws. Starclan will not have my apprentice today, Hawkclaw thought.

Rabbitpaw managed to stand with the help of the warriors, but she yowled in pain when the pressure was put on her swollen paws.

"Hurts,"
she managed to gasp out. She looked Bearpaw in the eye, her eyes still slightly glazed although they were clearer than before. After a few moments, her eyes closed in pain and she fell against Hawkclaw and Falconflight, leaning against them.

"Are you o.k, can you make it back to camp?," Hawkclaw whispered in to his lovely apprentice's ear. Worry was all throughout Hawkclaw's eyes. He longed to take Rabbitpaw's place in pain so she wouldn't have to feel as much as a pin prick.

[{Snarky}]

Rabbitpaw shook her head 'no'. Her paws were too much in pain to get her anywhere.

"Sorry. I should've...been pay...paying attention,"
she meowed softly.

Shinypaw padded into the clearing, the sun shining on her pelt. She noticed Rabbitpaw and Hawkclaw, not far away. "Hi!" She exclaimed, as she approached. "Is everything ok?"

Hawkclaw looked up to see Shinypaw there.

Falconflight barely heard the question but he said a little teasingly ,"Hawkclaw's beloved Rabbitpaw is hurt."

At hearing that, Hawkclaw casted a cold stare on Falconflight untill he flinched. Then Hawkclaw started to blush like mad.

Rabbitpaw seemed to have finally gotten her voice back.

"Hi, Shinypaw,"
she meowed.

Her body shook lightly. She smiled, but it turned into a grimace as she attempted to move and failed miserably.

[[PuRe]]

Shinypaw looked startled. "You're hurt!? Is it serious!? Can I help!?" She said histerically (her usual self.) Then more calmdly she added, "What happened?"

When the apprentices were do talking he replied to the coment that Rabbitpaw said before Shinypaw arriived. "It is not your fault, you didn't know that there was going to be a rabbit hole where you stepped," he meowed softly.

Then Falconflight spoke up," Would you like me to fetch the medicine cat?"

[{Snarky}]

Rabbitpaw shook her head.

"I'll make it."
She took a few steps forward, wincing everytime her paw hit the ground. Although the pain made her eyes water, she kept walking. Finally, after a few yards, it was too much. They were only a few minutes from camp, but it seemed like a days walk to Rabbitpaw.

"I can't,"
she wailed. She would never be an apprentice if she couldn't even walk! She had let everyone down. She didn't realize she was talking out loud until she noticed everyone watching her, and she blushed heavily.
