"Well, I'm not sure, actually," Darkpaw blinked. He never usually tells other cats how he is so stumped about something, but for some reason, he felt open arounf Dewpaw. They kept going throught the cave and saw another opening. "I see it!" Darkpaw raced out into the clearing, twitching his tail irritably. It was raining.

Dewpaw did not say a word, as soon as she felt Darkpaw's warm pelt disapear and be replaced by the dampness of the cave she felt a wave of fright, running after him she stopped heaving, "Warn next time!" Dewpaw meowed indignantly looking at him, but she couldn't hold his gaze and she looked away, "So what are we doing now? With the rain." She meowed, "I mean we are not giving up!?"

Darkpaw slumped his body and just kept walking. "We can live it, we need to get through ShadowClan."

"Ok, boss." Dewpaw meowed, sarcasm evident in her voice, but she was decided to follow him anyway. For the first time she was glad to have such a short and sleek pelt, "Rain wont be that bad.." She thought.

"Well, It's light anyway." Darkpaw stated. He glanced back at Dewpaw and couldn't help but look at her. He glanced back and just kept walking.

Dewpaw felt her companion's gaze burning on her, "Or am I just paranoid?" She thought and flinched, she looked at the dark black apprentice and couldn't help thinking that he was handsome; she flicked her tail, angry with herself. She looked up and a rain drop fell on her nose, making her sneeze.

Darkpaw heard Dewpaw sneeze. He giggled. But that was a mistake, because he sneezed too. "Well, looks like we are going to sneeze the whole time bfore we get there." he said witha tang of humor.

"Ush!" Dewpaw exclaimed but let a small mrrw of laughter. "C'mon!" She meowed nudging Darkpaw, "I want to get out of the rain and find what we are looking for before we catch a green cough!"

Darkpaw didn't add any remark to the comment and just kept walking. "Look over there!" He pointed to a whole in a tree with a bird. "And another one!" He sized them up and finally said, "We could fit in those." He scurried up the tree, killed the bird, and rested in the whole of the tree. "Your's over there."

"You got the closest one!" Dewpaw retorted stubbornly, and began to climb the same tree Darkpaw was climbing, half intending to get him angry and half wanting to be near him. She reached the hole and as soon as she was out of the rain began grooming her mottled ginger pelt.

Darkpaw snorted. "We'll share the same one then." he muttered and he started to groom his fur also.

"We are." Dewpaw meowed curling into a furball, and then whispered, "Mouse-brain." She placed her long tail on her nose, and moved a bit closer to the dark apprentice shutting her turquoise eyes drowsily.

Darkpaw noticed Dewpaw get closer, but he didn't throw back any comment. He liked the warmth and the smell of her scent.

Dewpaw slightly opened one of her eyes to watch over Darkpaw, a pleased smile formed over her muzzle, and she relaxed feeling the warmth of his closenes. Her ears perked as the rain gently faded into a constant drizzle, and she wished the moment would last longer.

Darkpaw woke up and he was in a tree hole with Dewpaw. He remembered how'd they got there, and he relaxed. He saw the sun beam into the hole and he knew they had to get moving, going to ThunderClan or to go home, either way it was time to go. He gently licked Dewpaw's ear to wake her.
