But how can global warming be good in any way? Its destroying the earth.

Global Warming is a load of bull krad, the Ozone thingies recreate themselves rapidly! They just want to scare you! Darn scientists, making people believe that krad. And if it is true, the world would be better with all of us fried. ^^

All right, a few points I want to illustrate. Hehe, sorry, I'm so obsessed with this topic.
Humans never started global warming. As in, never ever ever ever could we have started this. Honestly, global warming has been happening since time began, when the sun came into existence. There is no doubt that we humans have effected global warming, maybe even aiding it to a certain extent, but I still don't believe in any way, shape, or form are we humans the number one cause. People like to point the fingers at us because, if we hope in the future, we can control ourselves and the Earth will be just fine with all of our energy saving and recycling efforts. I say that's 100% wrong.
That's why no one believes that the sun or volcanoes has anything to do with global warming, because we can't control such strong forces of nature. People can be controlled if we make a big enough effort into conservation.
Darkheart, I believe global warming exists, and believe it or not, the ozone layers don't regrow as rapidly as you think. Ever heard of CFC's? They may have been controlled a while ago, but some are still used, and those are the things that are destroying the ozone layer.

Ok, I do understand what you said is possible, but I'm a religious person, and god wouldn't have let the sun be that powerful. It could be many possible choices.
1. God wanted this to happen, and your scientific logic is right, God wanted the earth to be gone sooner or later.
2. God didn't want this to happen, and Global Warming is true and our fault.
3. It isn't true. xD
I'm not sure, sorry for being so mean in the first place, I am just like that with this stuff... ><

Physics are physics. That doesn't mean God didn't create physics.
If God created physics, then we are definitely contributing to Global Warming. It is not a test from God to us, in my opinion. On the other hand, to presume that we humans are the "be all, end all", which has gone on in history since we recorded history, seems a tad amusing. AGAIN.
Thank you for the apology, I didn't take offense in the first place. And it is nice to know that people with different opinions can actually have a civilized discussion.

Hallo! I just think Global Warming will kill all of us within 15 years or so. Mostly because it has a serious effect on weather. Like right now it's hot then cold and hot and then cold... it's all very confusing...lol =P

I agree with Kiba. Global warming will ravage us fiercely in 15 years or so. Maybe 20 if we are lucky. As well, Dark, global warming is real and the ozone layer is destroying every time more. Even if it did recover rapidly, it would soon be bruised again after the many rubbish that contaminates it over and over again. Maybe God wouldn't want the earth destroyed but as Shine said, if God created Physics and Chemistry, we're completely helping global warming to spread.

Honestly, I don't like dragging religion into a big scientific, and flat-out logical, topic like this, but I like addressing each point of view and giving my own feedback. Take it as a bad or good habit, it's not my opinion. But it is a debate, and I do believe the point of debates is to discuss opinions and views to others that are contributing.
To respond to Kiba and Winter, I think this hot-and-cold thing is what normally happens when summer transistions to autumn. You know, being that it is getting closer to autumn, but it is still technically summer. Late, late summer. (WOOO!!!! Love fall!) And, I don't believe the Earth will be ravaged in 15 or 20 years. I don't believe that at all; because that's what scientists said 15 or so years back, and we're still around, are we not?
BIG BIG THING TO SAY!!!
Everyone here has said that humans are the cause of Global Warming because we're constantly cutting down trees. Guess what? That's a good thing, believe it or not, and this is why.
The FOUNDER of the Green Peace Foundation (basically want to save the planet), had made an article saying that cutting down old, old trees and using them, instead of recycling, would be the key to prevent global warming. Why? Well, trees breathe in carbon dioxide, a harmful chemical to the ozone, and give back oxygen. But old trees can't do that.
Using supply and demand, new saplings are regrown every day, while the old, useless trees are cut down to give to the paper factories and wood choppers something to supply. The new, young trees help take out more carbon dioxide from the air than the old ones do, so we should constantly be cutting down the old trees to make way for the earth-saving young ones.

Polar Bears are dieing out! mahy other animals and plants will never bbe on this earther ever again if this continues! The whole earth will flood if this continues! If you ask me, its humans. The gasses make it worse, BUT, remember teh Ice Age? That about when humans first appered. Then it got warmer. I think its our skin or somthing...

The Ice Age didn't end because of humans. We just learned how to make a fire much less turn the entire planet into a tub of melted water, which brings me back to my theory that every time the weather changes people freak out.
Before the ice age was the dinosaur age, which was a humid, tropical time period. Since nature runs its course all the time, some scientists believe that the comet that supposedly killed the dinosaurs had created enough smoke to bloke out the sun for years, hence the ice age.
Jayfeather, I do not disagree with you when it comes to the fact thats animals are dying, and yes, humans are contributers, but I will restate the point of the arugment again: I am debating that humans are not the entire, nor the #1 cause of global warming,

Who said that God had to deal with this in the first place!!! I agree that we contributed to Global Warming, because Global Warming started in the Ice Age. Thats why all that ice started melting. I've also heard that the world goes in cycles...or at least this is a theory. The earth overheats, then cools down again. Some scientists think that we are going through the hottest part of the cycle. But we are making it worse. I don't think that we will die really soon, but we will die in...what? 50 years? Thats my guess.

Global warming didn't "start" in the Ice Age. The Earth and the Sun just went through another period of heart displacement and transfer. The Ice Age began after the dinosaurs, and people are claiming that humans are the cause of global warming.
So...how did global warming start in the Ice Age?

Here is a very informative, and quite interesting video. I hope this contributes to your awareness of what is truly going on. The key to prevention in my mind is education. I hope you like it.
