Let the debait begin...

First, we need two people to debate diferent sides. Any takers?

All depends on "sides". Do you mean if humans are the cause of Global Warming? If that's the case, I say no. Yes we cause a lot, but more of it has to do with nature's cycle.

Shine, would you like to argue that side?

Okay, let me explain.
Even if humans NEVER existed, Global Warming would still happen. I understand that we're just making it worse with these "toxic fumes" (which by the way isn't true), but still, it all has to do with ONE thing.
The Sun.
First of all, has anyone noticed the different climates going on through history? First we have the dinosaur age, which mostly was a tropical era, and then we have the Ice Age (which some scientists argue came about after the 'meteorite' killed off the dinosaurs.)
That's all I have right now.

So it's Shine vs... ?

I posted a side to this but it's not there...

Ok well I'll say something.
Yes, what Shine says is true, but at the same time, we are some of the cause. Most of us do create toxins and toher things that are making the Ozone-Layer weaker, which is letting the sun become more effective.
Shine is right about the climate, but still. With the exhaust fumes from cars, and all the waste that is not desposed of right every day, especially in third world countries, we, too, are effecting this and making it a bigger problem then it needs to be.
*Mater-of-factly* Okay, and seriosuly, I really do not want to die because of our sometimes stupid descissions. We could all help to fix these issues, even though we can't help some of it.

We could all help to fix these issues, even though we can't help some of it. 1. Yes, I even said it myself that we humans are a lot of the cause (a little more than half) but if we never existed, as I said before, nature shall run its course till the sun dies. Besides, a lot of the reason the Ozone layer is breaking is because of CFC's and exhaust fumes. We aready took care of the CFC's (well, most of them). So why is nothing getting better, or a little maintance? Back to my arguing topic. 2. Because you have clearly said that I made a point about the climate, than it all makes sense. Just because humans are morons (no offense, you get what I mean) by not just brining it to a recycling center, it wouldn't matter. All that we're doing it brining our destruction closer. Ending Note: There are so many things I want to do for the planet, but sometimes you can't. Some stupid people out there don't have the sense that Earth IS THERE HOME! Would you like die, everyone? How does a flood sound to you?

I agree with Fern. The earth wasn't dying when there we dinosaurs, but it did go into a deep freeze. Then again, the earth might cause all of this on its own trying to kill off all civilization to restart... But we destroyed the ozone. We melted the Ice Caps. We are killing off animals to extinction. I say that things wouldn't have gotten this far if we had done things to stop it. Things like the ozone, Antarctica, animals, and others are our fault. We are giving ourselves cancers by smoking and using aersol (sp) hairsprays. We might have found out about all of this a little late, but we should be doing more to stop it and reverse it.

I agree with Fern and Pale. The Earth wasn't this way at the begginings of time. But until humans arrived, the planet started to destroy in many ways. Plus, most of the causes for the dinosaurs to extinct and for the deep freezing stuff, were types of natural dissasters. They did make huge changes in the Earth, but humans are making even bigger changes that affect us negativly. We should do our best to stop it, because in some years form now, everything will be over.

I've got a few opinions from some scientists. The earth will always be going through Global Warming, or whatever you would like to call it.

First of all, has anyone noticed the different climates going on through history? First we have the dinosaur age, which mostly was a tropical era, and then we have the Ice Age (which some scientists argue came about after the 'meteorite' killed off the dinosaurs.) Well yes but remember pangea? Our contries were once one massive piece of landmass. The continents started dividing (known at the continental drifting.. the theory of alfred weggener or sumthing like that ), and end in different zones.. that's what causes the climate change, and they are still moving, in a low rate but still.. so those are natural things that happen just to keep balance of nature. If not imagine how over-crowded things would be (assuming humans weren't still there), I don't think the ozone layer would've worn out, bcause nature would provide the gases it needs to reconstruct itself, as well as the sun would affect it, at the same it would be renewing itself, keeping balance of the thickness... but no we humans come and want everything for us!! and destroy the forest and habitats of the animals that were helping in the process of worn-renew of the ozone layer!! And kill precious species that had taken a lot to evolve in what they are now!!!! (like cheetahs!) and of course what many of u mentioned, the toxic products we made!!! ((srry got carried off.. a little sensitive on the topic))

Yes, I agree with you. If we weren't here, the ozone layer would be almost perfect. We do affect the Earth in many ways, and just think about it, if humans hadn't existed, the earth wouldn't be suffering so much.

*Nods* I agree with a few of your points. Yes, humans cause A LOT (sorry for the caps: capitalized for emphasis ) of what is happening to our earth. The ozone wouldn't be very much contaminated if we never existed. However, when I talked about the climate changes, you stated that it was because of the effect of continental drift (I'm very fluent in that subject). Question: Why did Pangea split in the first place? The only point I'm trying to make is that the Earth will always undergo changes and hints of Global Warming if humans never existed. What we're doing is just pulling our doom closer and closer.
