Wolfkit and Winterkit playing

"How?" Thornshadow asked. The loving gaze he once directed at Swiftpaw changed to the floor as his pelt bristeled in embarasment.

Swiftpaw looked at him and gave him a loving gaze. "Well, you are looking at me like you wanted to tell me something", Swiftpaw meowed. "Is there anything you wanted to tell me?" Swiftpaw asked.

"No" Thornshadow meowed simply. He glanced, quite puzzled, at Swiftpaw, then turned his gaze side ways. Soon, he returned it back to the beautiful she-cat. "Would you like to tell me something?" the shadowy tom asked, lifting his eye brow curiously.

"Umm........umm.....ahh....no, no at all!"Swiftpaw looked at him. She just need to tell him! Now or sooner."Well, actually, I do!I...I...l..l...like you alot, Thornshadow. I can't help it!"Swiftpaw meowed nervously while blushing.

Thornshadow felt his belly grumbling. "You... do?" he gasped bashfully. He didn't expect this to come so quickly but he was completely sure he didn't feel the same for her, despite her beauty. "Wow" he managed to say, still stunned. "I, um... I don't know what to say..." he mumbled.

Swiftpaw kept quite, feeling ambarresed. "Sorry, if I hurt your feelings....."Swiftpaw meowed slowly, thinking that her crush would be mad at her.

"Um, why would I be angry? Er, why would you hurt my feelings? I don't even like you. Well, I do, but as a friend" the dark tom replied, backening away in a slight disgust and enphasizing the word, "friend" as he spoke.

"Oh........",Swiftpaw said quitely. Swiftpaw gave a slight smile and turn away. She walked out of the nursery, feeling like a fool. "I shouldn't have blurted it out", Swiftpaw whispered to herself.

Wolfkit and Winterkit followed her. " Why are you looking sad?" Winterkit meowed to Swiftpaw. "Did you and Thornshadow quarrel?" Wolfkit asked her. Swiftpaw looked straight at them. "Look, I didn't quarrel with him okay? Let's just forget about it", Swiftpaw hissed at them. They backed away a little. But they continued to follow Swiftpaw. Winterkit and Wolfkit looked at Thornshadow and turned away.

Thornshadow rolled his eyes. Perhaps he liked Swiftpaw... Perhaps he loved her... But he was too confused to think in such a thing. Gulping, the dark tom followed the apprentice to the nursery, mouse-tails away from Winterkit's and Wolfkit's talons. Swipping a tongue around his lambent muzzle, Thornshadow mumbled a grunt, calling for Swiftpaw's attention. "Um, I have to tell you something..." he muttered.

Swiftpaw stopped and him. "Yes, what is it ?"Swiftpaw asked him.

Winterkit and Wolfkit stopped just in time before crashing into Swiftpaw.

Thornshadow sighed. He didn't love Swiftpaw, but he was under the pressure of two naughty and sharp tongued kits and a beautiful apprentice, the one he only liked as a friend. He hesitated before confessing his false truth. "I, um... I, um... I also love you" the dark tom meowed in an icy voice, his eyes slightly smoothing.

Swiftpaw looked at him. "Well, it's okay to be just friends. I don't mind", Swiftpaw said as he smiled at him. She gave him a lick and walk away. Maybe we should just be friends, she thought.

Thornshadow scratched his ear. "Well, its up to you" he rasped silently.

Daylight came wandering back from hunting, and noticed Thornshadow and Swiftpaw talking. "Hello Swiftpaw, Thornshadow." She greeted eyeing the tom that had saved her life. Then she noticed the look on Swiftpaw's face. "Am interrupting something?" She said, kind of confused. "Please let this talk between Swiftpaw and Thornshadow don't enolve the word 'love'." She THOUGHT.

Thornshadow sighed, half relieved Daylight had popped out from nowhere, despite the despice and hate she brought to him. "No, not really" he meowed. Unconciently, he proceeded. "Swiftpaw was just confessing her love for me, and I back to her" the shadowy warrior said, without noticing what he was saying. He edgidly stared at the she-cat, analizing her look. Seriously, she can't be jealous, can she? the dark tom thought, and backened away, his eyes still glinting gratefully but horridly at Daylight.
